Can someone explain to me why I can't get the Jays game on my lap top? I listen to the fan590 on my laptop when I'm working. Right now, some talk show is on when I go to the website and listen live, but in my car I'm getting the game? This is confusing.
Broadcast rights (radio) vs. Internet rights (laptop).
Fan590 has broadcast rights but not internet rights.

That's why I'd rather watch baseball over any other of the team sports. The game is played at a much slower pace, allowing the cameras to focus up close on the antics going on in the dugout, bull pen , on deck circle and all the defensive positions. You get to see the players' personalities.
i like the slowness as you can see the strategy develop which is the fun part

with luck you got a knowledgeable commentator teaching you the subtilties

commentators have gotten much better as a lot are ex pros with brains and are articulate so they have been there and done that

for example : vlad was just in a hitting slump because pitchers learned he hit the low stuff into the ground

vlad adapted and is back to hitting homeruns

how did he adapt? is a question a good commentator will teach you

a hitting slump is caused by pitchers learning a batters weakness and the hitter needs to adapt or die

I think that we get spoiled big time with Dan and Buck and even Pat. They are an outstandingly knowledgeable crew.

The odd time that I listen to another crew from the states, there is no comparison as to how much more I learn from our guys.

Ex-Jay Chase Anderson gives up two homers on the first two AB. Is this why Bryce Harper keeps walking out on his team? He signed the fat contract, unless he's injured, he should endure the fate fate of his club...he no Mike Trout.

It's safe to assume that Vic Romano is now the Jays closer. Vlady stopped spoofing him after he walked the first batter. Busting balls is one thing, getting into a team mate's head is another. Now that he's dropped the baby fat, Vlady reminds me of someone from another sport.

To my knowledge he's never walked out on his team.

Any relation to Jordan Romano?

Perhaps Jeremy Beasley?

A little too close for comfort win today, Yanks and Bosox both lost today.
Next up , 3 crucial game series with Boston starting tuesday.

I've seen Harper leave games early on three separate occasions, he did the same thing agaist the Jays last year. And as for Jordan Romano - GOTCHA.

Can Jordan rock a kimono like Vic does?

Missed the game, but checked the box score. Looks like Mayza got another beating.

On a plus, the top 4 hitters in the J's line up all have OPS over .800.

Yeah, players get hurt.

Do you expect a player to stay in a game and exacerbate an injury?

Did you happen to watch today's game?
Harper entered the game late, had a throw to make from right field.
It got to 2nd base on about 4-5 bounces.
But you think he's a shirker.
Okay then.

My op on Bryce Harper changed after he got into a dugout brawl with Papelbon. Just to spare myself the stinging indignation of George, I looked into it further.

Harper injured his left wrist on May 3, these types of injuries cause lingering pain for baseball players and Harper in particular. Last year he was on pace for an MVP when he sustained a base running knee injury. This season hasn't been any better for him.

The pitcher is lucky that isn't Albert Belle or Matt Stairs.

I miss Josh Donaldson!

Same here, although the current Jays have great team chemistry, IMO they need a JD or Jose Bautista personality, someone who can be a hot head , but in a good way, to inspire/lead team some more.
If there were a dug out clearing brawl who would be the first to charge the field?

Alejandro Kirk would be the first to leave the dugout but with his "speed" be the last to get to the fight.

Next 10 games are going to be against BoSox, the Rays and the Yankees, and now we're going to find out how good we really are
