If you call that playing hockey. LOL!The players seemed to move on from that and stuck to playing hockey afterwards.

You obviously missed the point. What Simmonds did was to tell Vancouver don't bother or you'll get some more beating....and the message Vancouver should send Toronto is to beat up one of their non-fighters.
I didn’t miss the point...the point I’m making is if Toronto’s toughest player is going to beat up a Vancouver player who has never been in a fight before, you return the favour by sending one of your tougher guys to beat up a Leaf non-fighter.You obviously missed the point. What Simmonds did was to tell Vancouver don't bother or you'll get some more beating.
Edler's first fight and Simmonds beats him up for something that was an accident and he got suspended for it...I'd like to see Vancouver do the same thing to one of Toronto's non-fighters...
I watched when Poulin made those comments too. I took his words and assumed that Edler was not a dirty player.Poulin made a good point on that yesterday where it wasn't needed because Edler is not a fighter nor a dirty player. Agreed.
Wrong...he has never been suspended for knee on knee before.Accident??? Give me a fucking a break....
He's a multiple offender when it comes to knee on knee. Accident or not, learn to skate for fuck sakes. Your in the NHL.
Wrong...he has never been suspended for knee on knee before.
Haha...sure he is...I don't care if he's been suspended, he's known for it.
I edited my previous quote for you.Haha...sure he is...
Haha...sure he is...
Not for knee on knees...you said "he was a multiple offender for knee on knee"...wrong!Clearly you have no idea what your talking about. He's been suspended twice.
Actually you said he's never been suspended for knee on knee. I said he's a multiple offender. So your correct he's never been suspended for knee on knee, but has been suspended twice for other stuff and injured Eric Staal with a knee on knee in an IIHL event. Not for knee on knees...you said "he was a multiple offender for knee on knee"...wrong!
So what does Vancouver do...Leaf's toughest player beats up one of their players who has never been in a fight before, just let it slide, forget about it? Vancouver doesn't have a player who can beat up Simmonds...how should they react...do nothing, that'd be a pussy move...go after Simmonds, that probably wouldn't work out either...don't be surprised if one of the Leaf's unlikely fighters faces an uncomfortable situation.Actually you said he's never been suspended for knee on knee. So I'm not exactly sure what your trying to defend here. He's a has history, and Wayne Simmonds was absolutely justified in going after him.
ruh-roh! Scooby!From Wikipedia:
Edler was responsible for a knee-on-knee hit to Carolina Hurricanes captain Eric Staal in the quarterfinals of the 2013 IIHF World Championship, and was suspended for the final two games of the championship.[53] Sweden went on to win the gold medal, and Edler was awarded a medal even though he did not play in the gold medal game. On 29 July 2013, the IIHF extended the suspension to cover Sweden's first two games of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.[54] Edler later joined team Sweden during the Olympics after his two-game suspension. He recorded a goal and two assists in the tournament, helping Sweden earn the silver medal.
I’m not sure how you want me to answer this. I’m not the GM of the canucks. So what does Vancouver do...Leaf's toughest player beats up one of their players who has never been in a fight before, just let it slide, forget about it? Vancouver is just running out the string. I don’t think the players even care anymore, just get the season over with is all they care about. So what does Vancouver do...Leaf's toughest player beats up one of their players who has never been in a fight before, just let it slide, forget about it?
