“Although the child had pre-existing health conditions that complicated the illness, it was the virus that caused their death,” Henry said.

from the article you posted but yeah, sure, don't let facts slap you upside the head.
The point is that once again the overwhelming majority of those who have died or are in hospital are those with metabolic syndrome or have existing comorbidities. As this child had.

The point you are missing is yes, these are prone to be at a higher risk

Those who are at risk of developing more severe disease or outcomes from COVID-19 are people: who are an older adult (increasing risk with each decade, especially over 60 years)
of any age with chronic medical conditions, including:
lung disease
heart disease
high blood pressure
diabetes
kidney disease
liver disease
dementia
stroke
any age who are immunocompromised, including those:
with an underlying medical condition, such as cancer
taking medications which lower the immune system, such as chemotherapy
living with obesity (BMI of 40 or highe
r)

but these same folks can be your Mother, Father, Siblings, friends and neighbors! So let's do absolutely nothing and open it up, not wear a mask, fuck social distancing because if folks can't be disciplined and eat right, exercise or are just unfortunate to have poor genes, fuck them! Don't interfere with the Amigo's life because one is weak. I call this selfish prick-like behavior.

2 pathetic fools blaming the parents of a 13-year-old and attributing her death on just being overweight and not COVID. I guess all those dying in India are fat asses that deserve to have COVID swallow them up!
"A teenage girl in Brampton, Ont., is among the youngest Canadians to die with COVID-19"

Being healthy does not simply mean not being a fat fuck, there are a number of contributing factors and a very important one is diet.

cbc news show a picture of her she is obese. musltiple studies show obesity makes people vulnerabe to covid, and weakens immune system

here is another I told you so
She died of the disease that you said didn't exist nor was it necessary to protect yourself from. It was all a hoax or don't you remember ?

There is only one undebatable fact - she would be alive today if she didn't catch COVID19.

Bullshit excuses that basically lay blame at the victim is fucking sick. Why don't go the funeral and tell the family that it was not COVID19 that killed her ... as it doesn't really kill anyone unless they deserve it.

If you are looking for excuses, why not blame the anti-maskers and scientifically illiterate who helped fan the spread of the disease that took this girl's life.

Honey, if you die from complications FROM covid, you still died from Covid.

No, she did not. She had pneumonia, she could have just as easily died had she been thin.
"Healey, who is also chair of the health system's COVID clinical response committee, said he couldn't speak to if Viegas had any pre-existing health conditions. "

Anyone can clearly see she is obese.
Obesity is a known comorbidity and contributing factor, therefore she died WITH Obesity and from Obesity using your logic.
I will argue with you tomorrow, I must sleep now.
All the best!

Being a big girl was not going to kill her at 13. That's fucking stupid.
Being obese increases your odds of complications. This is undeniable.

This should send a message to everyone to work to become more healthy.

For most adults, an ideal BMI is in the 18.5 to 24.9 range. Now the more muscle you have the worse you are going to do here. But it is a good indicator the majority of the population.

How many Americans are fat? 50%?

If she hadn't been infected with covid19, how long would she have lived? Decades?

The child had pre existing health problems.

But hey don't let the facts stand in the way of a good story eh..........

And do you feel that a 13 year old would die of these problems right now? If covid was not around?

Over 80% of hospitalizations are obese people. She also had pneumonia.

Life isnt without risks, a strong immune system is always the best defense. Cant do that when gyms are closed, fast food is open.

As predicted MSM will continue the fear mongering for the sheep to eat it allll up.

The stupid one here is you. Over 80% of ICU hospitalizations are comprised of obese people.

Dont let inconvenient facts get in the way of your irrational fear. Clearly those who dont take care of themselves and keep in shape are selfish and putting an unnecessary burden on the primitive health care system here.

Funny part is, there’s more ICU beds than patients yet MSM and the govt are in bed with each other crying we are swamped.

Lets see, contrary opinions to MSM are silenced, our federal health minister says vitamin D isnt important (proven factually inaccurate and is quite frankly a flat out lie), ineffective and harmful lockdowns are proven yet the MSM refuse to cover protests. Sounds an awful lot like communism and someone with a lot to hide.

Large swaths of Canadians are a disgrace to common sense and the ability to critically think.

Keep drinking that kool-aid and try to convince yourself it is others that are showing insane levels of irrational fear behaviour. You sound like you are the type that keeps extra tin foil in the cupboard, just in case...

You should look those stats up... afaik it is less than 6% increase of complications. This girl would have lived a realtively long life if she had not gotten Covid. Facts.
