...

It's just a gradual warping of the mind, of someone vulnerable to it.
It's worth commenting on that in this case, an unstable guy influenced by his version of Christianity, became a mass murderer, we are talking about the psychological causes. If it were an unstable guy influenced by his interpretation of Islam, this board would be filled with a whole different level of comment.

I agree, more and more is coming out that the guy was in rehab for sex addiction. Some guys are race baiters.
Yet he chose Asian massage parlours and not other 'temptations'.

It's possible he did it because he found Asian women sexy or because they were the ones he went to but it sure gives a reason for the discussion to go there.

First spa had no asians

Second spa (and the single worker at third spa who was outside) were all asian

Its no diff than in GTA where 2 spas next door / across road / same building has similar spas

Unless you can prove he frequented the spa he shot up before the incident the racism charge is circumstantial at best
The first spa he shot up is named Young's Asian Massage.

Intelligent people are waiting for a bit more information before flying off the handle.
Here more info: The bald police chief who said the guy "was having a bad day" was selling anti -Asian T-shirts last year.

2/8 of the people he killed wasn't asian, so i would hold off on this being an "obvious anti-asian hate crime" as opposed to just a general misogynist incel-based rampage.

the cop's own racial leanings has nothing to do with the actual shooter's motive either.... personally i think the "kungflu" is kinda clever lol. but nooo, we can't have harmless jokes that deal w race is any way possible anymore regardless of intent. it's a FACT that the virus came from china. you know who aren't offended by the term "kungflu"? CHINESE PEOPLE. hamher said it better than me:

asian massage parlours are plentiful and easily accessible from the streets in any city, and they have little to no security. they are most likely funded by chinese crime syndicates who are probably the same ones who provide the precursors for fentanyl. that is the only way they can proliferate so fast and have been showing up in every small town in north america, employed by desperate chinese nationals on travel visas who leave every 6 months and then come back just to make some of the lowest wages in this industry because their bosses do not care about security or screening, just profits. the people running these parlours are not benevolent people who 'just want to help the poor helpless sex workers and protect them from the evils i prostitution'. that's a hock of bs. these women need to be educated and learn how to use the internet tool out there to manage and own their own businesses. street level brothels will always be a security risk for crazy misogynists like this guy.

good thing the police caught him quite easily after his horrific rampage.l
Oh man

You’re going to be problematic for the guilt ridden Caucasian members on this board.

Read the article. You accused me of not doing so lol
There is no slur. Unless you think Chicom virus is a slur (which stands for Chinese Communist Party virus).
Had he said Ch*nk virus you would have a case, but he's referring to the Chinese government not the people, which is exactly what I said a few posts ago, dont blame the people, blame their fucked up government

Avoiding the fact that genetic tracing showed the covid strains that first hit Canada came through Europe. Also worth mentioning that many Canadian nationals travel the world including to China.

p.s. As a legal term, responsibility would include some aspect of intent or at least negligence and it is ridiculous to assign responsibility to people who had no idea they were infected with a serious, communicable disease.
I disagree vehemently. The Corona virus raged in China since at least mid fall of 2019. I spent a good chunk of time in a country that suppressed information, but the information did spread, anyway. Good or bad- and that was in the age before cell phones and the internet. To say that the Chinese people were unaware of the threat levels or the dangers, by February 2020, is not only naive, but downright incredible.

So what does that have to do with the shootings, aside for some kind of justification for them.

Nothing. We just ended up here, somehow.
