I forgot to mention the same characteristic in both is they often lose focus during games and seem disinterested. Maybe I’m harsh, bottom line, I don’t like how they play the game.

I think I addressed earlier on why it seems like we bash him. Nylander doesn't have skill, he has immense skills, I don't think anybody disputes that. He does have issues though in other aspects of his game, one of them being defense, the other is willingness to engage, not body check, simply to engage, maybe take a hit to protect the puck.
This nothing new and nobody disagrees as to what his strengths and weaknesses are. They are well known. The disagreement is where some feel his liabilities outweigh his attributes and others think otherwise. Everybody has and can state their opinions but nobody can actually prove them. It is opinion, not fact. It cannot be measured.

People push back as if this guy is God, so the discussion inevitably evolves into a polarized argument.
And this is where you get carried away.

I have not seen one person call him a god or anything superlative. But for some reason, it irks you so much that somebody would dare to disagree with you on this topic, you somehow interpret it to mean that we are calling him god. In my last post, I referred to him as an asset to the team. How the hell can you interpret that as him being called a god?

Your routine overreaction is where it devolves.

Others are entitled to their opinion just as you are yours. But please stop overreacting and putting words that are not there into other people's mouths. It's almost like it's personal. Someone who feels that he's an asset to the team is nowhere close to your claim that it means they think of him as a god.

I will speak for myself. I like watching him play and I think that he is an asset to the team. Do not change my words.

You need to take a pill man, that was my opinion the same as everyone else's, that's what you're going on about, right?
I wasn't centering you out, but I'll keep your sensibilities in mind next time, talk about overreactions.

I know that you weren't centering me out but...

...show me a statement of mine comparable to you claiming that I think of him as a god. At no time have I overreacted on this topic. I have tried to be as measured and tactful as possible, yet you still seem to be offended and claim that I overreacted.

You keep saying I, I, mine.
I just said it wasn't aimed at you specifically.
Yet you can accuse me of getting offended, of over reacting.
Why don't you read my post again and try to understand the gist, because you totally missed it.
At this point I don't want to explain it and I don't even care if you get it anymore.

You can sleep peacefully tonight. I get it.

Muzzin, Simmonds, Thornton, Hyman. Their most physical players all out tonight. Who's next on the physicality list? Tavares? I'm thinking that if they are to win tonight it has to be with skill.

Calgary has been playing more like a lottery team than a real contender so the outcome of the game may not prove anything other than that. It’ll be interesting to see how the refs call the game and how the Leafs handle it if the Flames decide to rough up the Leafs.

Good move, you’d rather have Tkachuk piling on Hutchinson than on Andersen. Btw, I’m expecting a huge game from Willy tonight.
FA31 is out, Day to Day.
Joseph Woll is backing up Hutchinson tonight.

Read a comment after an article on the Sportsnet website that made me laugh out loud. The article was about Mike Babcock, and of course mentioned the almost $6 million he’s being paid by the Leafs for the next couple of years. The commenter wrote “ who here is being paid big bucks by the Leafs for doing nothing? Willy, get your hand down.”👏👏👏

I read somewhere that Willy’s average annual salary is approximately 7.5 millions for the six year term, presumably including signing bonuses.

I wish I was WN88 agent. All serious - I got nothing against the man - he got paid - would like to see him work a little harder, ok alot harder. Lets see how they respond tonight.

Honest question. Does any player that went on a strike and came back with their team was worth the contract they got?

There's been so many case like WN88... Seems like as soon as the contract ink is dry they do the same on the ice ;)
