My point is that it seems that there are Nylander bashers who feel very strongly about him but I think that there are zero Nylander worshippers who feel equally as passionate about him being good as his detractors do in reverse. The scale seems to be tilted.
I think I addressed earlier on why it seems like we bash him. Nylander doesn't have skill, he has immense skills, I don't think anybody disputes that. He does have issues though in other aspects of his game, one of them being defense, the other is willingness to engage, not body check, simply to engage, maybe take a hit to protect the puck.
People push back as if this guy is God, so the discussion inevitably evolves into a polarized argument.
You think WN got benched solely for getting fancy shmancy in a lock down phase of the game? There's a build up before that happens. Everyone makes a silly mistake here and there, there's more to it.
