The OT penalty was one play of many in over 73 minutes of play. It's not the reason why Leafs won. Leafs power play is not 100% guaranteed to score. They are actually at 16.7%. So they still need to execute. At any time of the game don't put yourself in a position for the ref to call a penalty. It's on Foligno and no one else on where he is putting his stick. Foligno understands this.

I would love to see Popeye Jones's son as a member of the Leafs. His decision to become a hockey player started while Pops was playing for the Raptors.

He also says that the NFL should eliminate field goals. What does that tell you?"

I think the majority of intelligent, rational and forward thinking NFL fans would support eliminating the field goal. Unfortunately, some fans are still stuck in 1904. (Note: There are no FG kickers in the NFL HOL. Ray Guy is a punter, not a FG kicker. What does that tell you?)

The Boston come back against the Leafs was an even lower chance then that. There was an article on that too.
I disagree with James Reimer and Jake Gardiner turning over pucks the odds were much better for Boston. Boston had just about the same amount of time (4 minutes) as the Leafs to score 3 goals. Plus the Leafs had to break the neutral zone trap and a Blue Jackets defense that just collapse in front of the net. In 2013 the Leafs defense doesn't know how to play the trap, the Bruins had an easy entry into the Leafs zone.

What is a HOL ?

Morten Andersen (2017) and Jan Stenerud (1991) would disagree.
Of course, one of them has been in the HoF for only 29 years, so darty may not have been aware.
George Blanda kicked a few field goals (335) as well, though not inducted based on his kicking abilities.

Hey, maybe the HoL is Hall of Legs?

Damn! I must have been subconsciously thinking of HOL (House of Lancaster). Anyway, I and I'm not alone think the FG should be eliminated. We need to evolve.

What evidence do you have? I have never heard of this idea aside from you.

What about your argument that no kickers in the HOF is proof that kickers are superfluous? That one is down the drain.

You post more erroneous statements in the sports forum than anyone.

Do you have a link to some discussions where people discuss eliminating field goals, let alone the majority of people think FGs should be eliminated?

I've heard Steve Shutt thinks field goals should be eliminated.

I have now presented two links to articles presenting cogent arguments for eliminating the FG. Could you provide links to articles arguing for the preservation of FG's other than it has been around for over 100 years.

An hour and a bit before puck drop. If the Leafs win, it will be their first series win since 2004. (Our friend George is busy Googling as we speak.)

I'm still waiting for your explanation as to how Jan Stenerud and Morton Andersen got into the Pro Football Hall of Fame based on their tackling ability. I hear Steve Shutt was a pretty good field goal kicker. Tie Domi too.

There are thing in heaven and Earth that can't be explained. They defy logic. Imagine two FG kickers in the NFL HOF when FG's should be eliminate from the game altogether. Inexplicable. Wiser humans than me will have to answer your question.

Johnsson in. As expected if he's available Robertson would not be playing. He hasn't played in months. That tells you all you need to know of who is preferred to be in there. Werenski taking pre game warm ups.

If Leafs win Muzzin should be available to play Game 1 vs TB. With Muzzin I can see a chance. Without him well it may not be pretty. TB can make mince meat of this defense.

Fuck the payroll! Fuck the skill! Fuck Tavares!

I wish there was a way for these guys to get tougher. Leafs just eliminated in 5.
