Kaepernick Skips NFL Organized Workout, Wears T-Shirt Comparing Himself To A Slave

The NFL can now say..well we tried .

It seems like a double own goal. He was old news, why would the NFL draw attention to him. He’s old news and being pulled back into the spotlight, why remind everyone what a dick you are.
There you go. I still have some faith. Again I'm not excusing the way Kap played this but the NFL was more interested in the show than the trial. The real question is, if any team was really interested in Kap they could easily hold their own workout, no?

@Oagre

In all honestly I can't answer to why would he care. Maybe he wanted it to be legit and not a dog and pony show. Maybe he wanted to make sure the proper people were there. Like I said, by having in on Saturday is really confusion and different from what the NFL usually does due to conflicts and such.

BTW I saw that video and he looked absolutely fucking amazing! He looks like he could step right back onto the field and lead a team!

His agent needs to get his side of the story out and explain what just happened, if there's a half decent explanation!

All I know is that if he truly wanted to play again in the NFL he would have had to go to the original workout. As it stands now what GM would take a chance on him after what he decided to do. Yes he got another PR chance to make a statement but if he wanted to play that was his shot. Not saying it was right but life is not always a perfect happening of events.

Kind of disagree with a bit of you point. Again I do say he could have done a few things differently, but looking out for your best interested is one of them. The NFL teams have taken chances on lower forms of scum than Kapernick. He's good enough

You really think he's going to be any better after 3 years? He couldn't make any secondary reads then what makes you think he can now?

As for the workout footage. I liken it to boxer hitting the pads during training. they all look good. It's how they react during the fight that matters.

Joe Rogan describes fighting as ''high level problem solving with dire consequences''. Football is very close to that. CK's problem has never been his athletic prowess for he's at the top of the food chain there. It's been his problem solving. And that's what differentiates the Tom Brady and Peyton Mannings of the world from the Colin Kaepernick's.

I believe that's what he's been doing for the past year or so.

If the owners had no interest in him, there'd have been no event to report. 'Owner' is an interesting word, given the slavery context you say is so far-fetched. Back in the days of that Peculiar Institution Southern plantation owners made the same argument you're using, about their contented slaves not running.
You do realize(but, do you?) that there are quite a few players that are not black. NHL, too, has owners- not that many descendants of slaves in that league. Only a complete moron could possibly connect this to slavery. These men are free individuals in a free country, employed in the field of their own choice. The vast majority of them have a college education and are completely free to work in their field - whatever that may be. Kap was always a fraud, he just confirmed it for all to see. Good riddance. Maybe he can find a job as a commentator at the MSNBC.

If he has any real 'nads, he'll come play for the Argos next year!
Maybe they'll draw more than 5,000 for their home opener because of the novelty factor.

So many of my TERB brothers love facts but are quick to piss on Kap even though the NFL have been screwing him for the last 3 years. There was so much bullshit done by the NFL leading up to this workout and I'm disappointed that only a couple of you see it because you disagree with his political stance.
Um screwing him how?

Not only were most of his stats abysmal but the team actually won more games after he left (and San Fran is a crap team!)

Manziel proved why so few failed NFL QBs make it up here despite being "better"
After Moon and Flutie not many ever made news
Moon played here first.

Nope, Joe Theismann did (1971-1973)
If not for Leon McQuay's fumble Joe might have a Cup here as well.

QB's that went from the CFL to the NFL of note

Tom Clements........Kansas City. 3rd string

Henry Burris..........Chicago. Actually started 1 game. Did terribly.

Ricky Ray..............Jets. Never saw the field

Jeff Garcia...........49ers,Browns,Lions, Buccaneers. Eagles

TeeJays's argument (don't want to puts words in mouth) were that NFL QB's that come to CFL are flops, not always the other way around though.

A few points and don't get me wrong. Some of it I agree with you

1 -NFL usually has these types of workouts on Tuesday, they made it Saturday where scouts are looking at Collage players and Teams are preparing for Sunday.
2 - They told him last second. The NFL told the media before contacting Kap.
3 - Kap asked for a list of who would be there and the NFL refused.
4 - Kap asked if his team could also video the workout. The NFL refused
5 - The NFL added in a new clause in the waiver basically saying he could never sue

Kap could have done a lot of things differently I agree, but the NFL made this a stunt.
It was a bogus workout to stop any lawsuit in the future.

He flipped it on them to show how crooked and underhanded they are.
