Derek Fisher is and forever will be a journeyman.

Jacob Waguespack is impressing, he was undrafted. He gets better with every outing. Does Kevin Barker know anything about baseball? He said Waguespack isn't worth much since he can't bring the heat, neither could Marco Estrada.

He actually can bring the heat when he really needs it, he struck out a Ray on a high 94mph fastball last night.
Its just that he doesnt bring the heat regularly

Correct, usually in November is when they are completed.
Watching the game last night, Buck & Pat indicated the Blue Jays will select the 2 players in the next two weeks or so.

Bichette last night set a new record, 10 extra base hits in his first 9 rookie games

All I know is we got fuck all back for Sanchez/Biagini.
Derek Fisher??!! Come on now.

If he does turn out to be a good player I'll eat my hat, but I dont see it
Here's Fisher's last 3 seasons in AAA

YR/AB/AVG/OBP/R/HR/RBI/SB

2017/343/.318/.384/63/21/66/16
2018/239/.251/.363/44/10/34/11
2019/224/.286/.401/44/14/36/8

In 286 major league AB's he is hitting .199. He's 25 which indicates to me his ceiling is likely a 4th or 5th OF. Once again Shatkins gets fleeced in a trade. One of the worst GM's I have ever seen.

Here's our current starting rotation

Thomas Pannone
Sean Reid-Foley
Jacob Waguespack
Trent Thornton
Wilmer Font

In all my years of watching baseball I don't think I've seen a worse MLB rotation than this. Wow.

And yet we just took 2 of 3 against TB at Tropicana, and Fisher went deep.

Maybe Shatkins are 2 geniuses who know something we dont??

An interesting article from Shi David.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/ml...e-the-conversation/ar-AAFtL9j?ocid=spartanntp

The departure of Alex Anthopoulos and the hypotheticals of what might have been had he stayed continue to burden the franchise, even as most of what the former general manager built has been torn down by president and CEO Mark Shapiro and GM Ross Atkins. Like it or not, a rebuild happened after three tepid, toe-in-the-water years during which the Blue Jays never adequately augmented a still-talented base while trying to simultaneously retool for the future.

I don't think they really cared what they got back for Sanchez. They just wanted to move off him, and a big part of it was because Scott Boras. Also, I'm not sure how you can say Shatkins got "fleeced" in this trade. You realize Sanchez was one of the worst pitchers in baseball right???

You wont really know if Atkins is a good GM or bad GM for another year or so.

I can't stand listening to Kevin Barker. He wouldn't have a job if Hazel Mae wasn't his wife.

Not only that but he has a thin skin, he couldn't take a joke from Sid. He responded with attitude. Sid is known for ribbing Shi Dividi, Faizal Khamisa and Donovan Bennett. he's not doing it as a putdown. It's his way of saying that he has their back, Barker couldn't handle it. He has to get over himself.

Sid is a fucking idiot.

He needs to be punched in the head repeatedly before he's allowed back into society

To Phil

Just heard Dan and Buck say that during shapeero's media day today, the Jays' president admitted (in Dan and Buck's words) that "Toronto is a huge market". Just to ensure that this does not go over your head, the key word is "huge".

Be a man and admit that you have been wrong all along arguing that Toronto is not a big market. Anything more than an unequivocal admission just would make you look foolish.

Toronto is a big market with enormous resources at their disposal.
