What would lead you to think it's suicide?
It could just as easily be a situation like Darryl Kile's.
It absolutely could be a situation like Darryl Kile's. I didn't say it was suicide. I said despite initial reports it doesn't appear to be a suicide, it wouldn't surprise me if it turns out be.

Generally speaking, if a 27 year old is found dead in a hotel room, and it's sudden, it's either suicide or some other rare, undetected health issue. Many times suicide is covered up with respect to the family and privacy. There was never any official word regarding Wade Belak, but we all know he took his own life.

Let's wait for the autopsy report on Skaggs, very sad but lets not jump to conclusions.

There was a blowup in the Jays clubhouse after yesterday's game.

Ken Giles, who's short tempered as it is, took exception to getting a Gatorade bath from Vladdy and Rowdy. I don't mind rookie exuberance, just don't break any unwritten rules - don't soak a pitcher's glove. Giles say red and confronted the two young sluggers. There are no reports that punches were thrown, probably the two rookie sluggers realized they did something wrong. Their ears must be wringing today.

Giles is a better closer than Osuna, he wouldn't have blown two saves vs the Red Sox. He's a mean and nasty guy.

He'll get traded because of this. This will end up being Vlad's team. If this doesn't smooth over, it's not the potential super star that will be moved.

Here
Giles is a better closer than Osuna...
I disagree. Giles is very good. He is 5 years older and has more experience. But, notwithstanding his legal troubles, Osuna looks more and more each year like the second coming of the Sandman.

ok, I believe that Vlad will become a star...but right now he is far from it...and so he has no business going to the all star game for the home run derby.

On another note, maybe silly or mythical....Cavan Biggio looks like John Kinsella.

can I kill a thread or what? I had the last post 9 days ago...are the Jays that irrelevant now? Today watch how Stroman conducts himself - the Yankees do not put up with showboating and if he does they are less likely to want to deal for him.

A 5 day all-star break may have been a contributing factor.

Ryan Borucki to make his 2019 Blue Jays debut either Sunday or Monday.

Stroman deserves to pitch for a better team. Imagine what his W-L would be if he pitch for the Yankees.

I'd place more significance as to how much longer trading him, and possibly Giles, would add to how long this rebuild will take. We are probably up to about 6 or 7 years right now. Can we get to 9 or maybe even 10? After all, Anthopoulous drained the farm. Or do we already possess the necessary arms?

Needs to be bigger, meaner, grittier.
If you can't beat them in the alley, you can't beat them on the diamond. Or something like that.

I think your totally wrong here. The rebuild is currently at 3 years, and looks like many of these guys will be solid MLB players next year. Spend some money on some pitching plus Nate Pearson now you've got a competitive team.

The problem is going to be that just as the Jays are primed to make a run, there's going to be a work stoppage.

Has Vlady worked through his growing pains? He did the Monster Mash against the Tigers.

His power during the home run derby was unreal, every time he connected, you could hear the ricochet of the pitching barrier.

THE SUMMER OF GEORGE...sorry got carried away.

What do you call the barrier that protects the pitcher in the home run derby?

Alright, what is a "pitching barrier"?
Costanza, you have to take into account that SidVon had a really bad car accident, and did some brain damage in the process.

I like his posts though, they add a little Italian flavour to everything......LOL

He's a good guy. You just have to take it for what its worth

You call it the same thing that protects a pitcher in regular batting practice, a "L Screen".

Wouldn't one only hear a ricochet if a batted ball struck the L Screen?
