I didn't know what it was called, buy me a pizza and call me Susan. I have Klipsch speakers on my home theater, you can hear everything. Every time he connected the exit velocity produced a sound off the L screen as the ball passed by. No other batter could manage it, it was extraordinary.

Yankees are interested, for sure he will go to a contender as non contenders are sellers. Trade him now while his value is up. The Jays will not contend for 2 years at least and no telling what his arm will be like then so get some young arms for the farm system and hope our scouts can spot a winner or two as the team you trade with knows their talent and will try to dump losers
So that would be 6-8 years into the shapeero regime. Now they trade Stroman, Sanchez, Giles for more prospects. Who will replace them? Pitching prospects? How long 'til they mature? How much longer does that take 'til we have a contender? 10 years into the regime?

I followed up on this, according to the current collective agreement a player can file for retirement without terminating his current contract. Tulo has the right to see out his contract until it expires. I have a hunch that will change with the current bargaining, the Jays got burned.
Still I hold no malice toward Tulo, he's just taking what the CA gives him. He had great talent but bad genes, playing on turf did him in.
100%, I completely support Tulo getting paid his full contract.

The Blue Jays didn't get burned, they were fully aware of Tulo's contract, and health when they acquired him.
I don't think the club makes playoffs in '15 or '16 without that trade.
Note: As a shortstop, he didn't play an awful lot on turf, as Toronto installed a dirt infield for the 2016 season.
We have talked about this before. When did he play on turf? He never played in the outfield. And only a couple of months on infield turf when he arrived here.
It's a copout. It is obvious, at least to me, that he was damaged goods before he bacame a Blue Jay...

I got no problem with PLAYERS getting every nickel they can from billionaire owners -but Tulo is no longer a player and it seems selfish to take money as if he were. Especially when that money could be paid to actual players. Yes, he shouldnt lose it all due to injuries - but he shouldn't get it all either.
He was injured playing major league baseball.
He had a contract.
Why shouldn't he get it all?
