I know it is a pet peeve of yours, but right now the stadium is the least of their troubles and I see zero logic in building a new stadium at this time. What is the advantage and how will Rogers recoup the money it will cost?On a side note, I was watching prime time, and to their knowledge, there's no plans for a renovation to Rogers Centre nor a new stadium. So we're stuck with this piece of shit for the foreseeable future.
Except we have a shit team in a shit parkA good team in a less than ideal park is waaay better than a shit team in a nice park
This is accurate.Honestly I consider this to be the first year of the rebuild....

In '15 and '16, over 3,000,000 passed through the gates. Because they had a good team, the fans did not care what the facility was like. I know that you like to cite parks like Camden Yards in Baltimore that you feel provide a better fan experience and is part of the draw. They are drawing about 15,000 fans per game. Shit attendance for a shit team in an intimate modern style facility.
A new stadium for the Jays may be an attraction for a while, but a few 70 win seasons will rectify that pretty quickly.
Spend the money on the team and give the fans a good product on the field.. THAT is what makes for a good fan experience. A good team in a less than ideal park is waaay better than a shit team in a nice park.
This is accurate.
Then you consider wrong. Or, you can phrase it a different way if you like. Maybe they are considering this the first year of their rebuild, but that's there problem. You get 5 or 6 years to make something happen. You don't get 10. Not our problem they handled things wrong. Should have traded JD, when they had the chance, among other trades they could have made if they wanted to do a rebuild.Honestly I consider this to be the first year of the rebuild. .
Uhm, you realize we are into Shitpiro's 4th year rebuild, dont you??!!Honestly I consider this to be the first year of the rebuild
Unfortunate as that may be, BBL's desire for a new stadium does not seem to be something that would provide much positive benefit for the money it would cost.Except we have a shit team in a shit park
You hold up Camden Yards as a major league stadium, but their team is bush league and their attendance is dismal. There should be no reason they are working on both. This stadium is outdated. You want to be a big league team, have a big league stadium.
Especially with one of the very richest ownerships in the majors. At this point, unless most of the youngsters turn it on quickly, they are looking at the better part of a DECADE. Unacceptable to me, considering the resources they have at their disposal. No it is not accurate. Your window is 5-6 years. You don't get 10. Lot's of teams have done rebuilds in that time. No reason this club should be any different. Don't let them off the hook so easy.
They have ALWAYS had the ACCESS to their talent. We can only hope that they ASSESS it properly. And someone who was executive of the year should not need a ridiculous amount of time like 3 or 4 years to merely get their act together.Honestly I consider this to be the first year of the rebuild. They finally shed the old players and are now bringing up the new ones. The previous few years were getting rid of a lot of contracts and new management getting it's act together and accessing talent.
I think the mess was very large. And the dismantle took longer than expected coupled with the minor league talent all below AAA.Uhm, you realize we are into Shitpiro's 4th year rebuild, dont you??!!
Right thanks Mr. Spelling Bee.They have ALWAYS had the ACCESS to their talent. We can only hope that they ASSESS it properly. And someone who was executive of the year should not need a ridiculous amount of time like 3 or 4 years to merely get their act together.
Stick to politics where you can pretend to know something. You are out of your league here.
He's gonna call you on "perhaps you night rethink your comments".Right thanks Mr. Spelling Bee.
And if you look at my comment to Phil up above perhaps you night rethink your comments

You have it back asswards. How will building a new stadium make the Jays better and more of a money maker if the fans will not support an at least respectable team. What will building a new stadium do to make the Jays think that it would be worthwhile. They have shown that they prefer saving money over giving the fans something to cheer for.
