How often should clients get tested?

I went to the hassle free clinic and the nurse (i'm guessing a nurse because he said if I needed to get tested for anything that isn't routine he couldn't do it) there said that if I am only seeing escorts and using a condom for intercourse and having oral without a barrier, that it's okay if I get tested once every six months to a year, if I don't have any symptoms.

I don't have sex with civilians cuz I suck at that whole business/am unattractive.

I see escorts about once every 4 to 6 weeks. The first time I had sex ever, as well as saw an escort was on June 24th, 2018 and I got tested earlier this month. However, I have seen people say they get tested every 4 to 6 weeks.

Did I wait too long? How frequently should I go to get tested?

For you, based on your hobbying, maybe every 6 months. 3 months if you want to be conservative about it.

If you hobby only once every 4 to 6 weeks, and practice safe sex, that's only 4 or 5 encounters in half a year, so getting tested every six months seems like overkill to me. BUT, it doesn't hurt to play it safe.
Think of it this way: an SP can often have 4 or 5 unique encounters in a single day (or two), and you can bet they're not getting tested daily (or every other day)! Though whether that's an argument for or against you getting checked more regularly is up for debate! lol

I hobby about once every three weeks, and get tested once a year. That's roughly 17 encounters. I don't do anything stupid in my sessions and I've always come back clean.

anywhere i want;)
The best is every 6 months. Even doctors will tell you that - especially if you are sexually active with more than one partner. To be extra safe - every three months. Sps go every three months because well lets face it - we kinda have too lol! Remember that some stds/ stis and hiv can go undetected for MONTHS and its always better to be safe than sorry. To the op. it seems like you haven't seen an escort in quite some time and unless you've had sex with civvies since then - I would still go and get tested frequently but not excessively.

I personally get tested every other month. I know it’s excecessive but I feel better always knowing my status. I’ve never contracted anything from working in this industry thankfully. However I’ve met other companions in the past who have contracted things in their mouth. There was one instance where she complained about having a sore throat for weeks and it was getting worse to the point she could barely talk. After going to the doctor they discovered that she had gonorrhoea in her throat and had no idea. (Imagine getting bbbj or dfk with someone who had gonorrhoea in her throat? But yet these things are still the most requested and sought after services in the industry.) I also find it hard to believe that a nurse would tell you it’s not necessary to get tested as frequently if you’re showing no symptoms. Public Health would tell you to get tested regardless if you feel symptoms so shame on that nurse if she told you that. There are many people who walk around with infections and don’t even know because they are not showing symptoms so they assume they are clean. No symptoms does not = no infection. If you are sexually active and especially in the adult industry, I’d personally suggest getting tested 2 - 4 times a year depending on how sexually active you are. This is just my personal opinion. I’m not a medical professional.

Just be responsible with your body because you are sharing it! :)

Every 4 months. Blood and urine (hiv, hsv 2, hepatitis a, b, c, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia). The more responsible providers and clients are about their health the more likely the powers that be will leave it alone.

My doctor wanted samples of my blood, urine and feces. So I gave him my underwear.

So a medical professional working in a clinic specializing in STIs told you six months to a year is fine and you decided to come to terb for a second opinion?

Simple search, easy to find. None of the sexual Health clinics require ID. They’ve never seen my Ohip card, they only ask IF you are covered by OHip. Say yes, or they will try to charge you.
And of course they need a phone number to call you for results. They have a discretion policy. And for HIV results, you need to make a return trip.

I’ve caught a cold from an sp a couple times and flu once. I think I caught strep throat from one, can’t be sure, could have caught it anywhere. And unfortunately, I passed in a cold, I didn’t know I was getting sick. I knew for sure it was a cold late night same day, she came down with it next day. :( so I know now, don’t see an sp when sick.

If all your services are covered 2 times a year is good.

If you do anything without protection, STI test 3 weeks after encounters and HIV test 12 weeks and 6 months after encounters.

most STIs don't even show up until like 2-3 weeks after exposure, so every 6 weeks sounds perfect.

clients should get tested as often as providers do. just because you increase the number of ppl you sleep with doesn't really mean that you're more likely to get STDs. i've never gotten an STD for the whole 3 years i've been an escort whereas my civvie friends have gotten gonorrhea from sleeping with ONE guy unprotected. it really is all about safe practices at the end of the day.
