Trump has achieved L. Ron Hubbard status.

Polemics aside, a military coup would be catastrophic of America, it would render everything they've promoted through the decades after WW II hollow. The PRC would become the preeminent superpower, its status irreversible.

Some folks should watch, Seven Days in May a sadly forgotten film written by Rod Serling.

Lock 'im up!! Lock 'im up!! Lock 'im up!! Lock 'im up!! Lock 'im up!!

It wasn't him who set the current standard of 'debate'. And you seem stuck there. Why not leave that level of B.S. to actual Americans?
Yeah. Of course when the media begins to compare a press conference to Kristallnacht and Pearl Harbor, you just know that something is up. Because nobody can possibly be this stupid.

Really? Please provide proof of these statement. I'd like to know what press and the context. I mean, it's not like you don't have a history of BS and exaggeration.

We can comment on this further after we see your proof.

Google is your friend, but it was a former Watergate prosecutor on MSNBC. Why should I be surprised?

You haven't been paying attention to the hyperbole. I think the press panicked less in WWII.

Ahh, so Comrade jc, it wasn't the media that made the comparison at all. Bit of an error on your part, or perhaps you were just being dishonest again.

It was Jill Wine-Banks expressing her opinion during an interview. Instead of attacking her (Ad hominem), can you explain why she is wrong?

I think her comments are a bit over the top, but then again, so are most of yours. i.e. post 11: Crashing deficits - illegal invasion - endless conflicts - spying

I'm suppose to be scared of Trump- while all his policies thus far are designed to boost the economy and punish the foreign freeloaders. Yeah, I'm terrified.
Please enlighten us as to how allowing Putin to meddle in the elections will boost the economy.

Explain to us by using your right wing(nut) "intelligence" the process by which this happens. Don't spare the details as you will do all of us a favour by helping us understand.

Rep. Steve Cohen(D-Tenn) tweeted as follows: " Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of the enemy."
Calling for a military coup is low even by the TDS standards. It's actually scary that an elected representative of a free republic would dare to display such sentiment in public. Disgusting.
He has repeatedly clarified on Twitter that he was not calling for a coup but rather calling for Tweets from military:

“Wanted military folks who serve USA to Comment on twitter about awful anti American show in #HelsinkiTreasonSummit #PutinsPuppet . After all twitter is for tweets not a coup. Twitter isn’t action world but show your colors world.”

If he genuinely wanted to orchestrate a military coup then doing it publicly on Twitter is probably not the way to go...LOL. You gotta sneak around and do that kinda thing in secret.

PS: I looked for articles on this story as JC neglected to post a link. The only sites covering it are Alt Right loon sites like The Daily Wire, The Daily Caller, and (of course) Sputnik News. I honestly don’t know how people who believe this crazy shit actually function and survive in life...I suspect they don’t.

<rolleyes> Sometimes it's best just to say nothing Butler.
Both CNN and MSNBC had on "experts" to discuss whether the news conference crossed the threshold for treason.

It was indeed a fucked up summit. I'm not even sure why it occurred. He as usual was incoherent. And went off script.

But treason as the default topic and stance? I was incredulous and continue to lose respect for their clickbait partisanship. Mirror images to Fox.

There are lot of things that media is not covering. Doesn't mean that it's not relevant or true. The beauty of this age is that they are no longer the gate keepers. Obviously, you disagree, so what?

It was the first time a POTUS went and said he doesn't believe his own team, he believes Russian spin.
Trump doesn't even believe the guys he appointed.

Maybe if that happened more often things like Iraq wouldn't happen.

Intelligence agencies are fully capable of lying and or being mistaken. And it isn't just the heads. There are numerous analysts between them and the data. who all may have bias.

If POTUS believes they are lying he should present evidence that proves it. Debunked conspiracy theories and rants about Hillary don’t count.

You sound righteously indignant....But it's ok for your hero to coddle Putin and denounce his own government intelligence in favour of Vlad's "word"........oh, but you probably swallowed the would-wouldn't bullshit too!

Right because the CIA is well known as being forthright, honest, and never involved in clansdine operations. The certainly have never engaged in espionage and illegal activity. And since the inception of the Patriot Act have curtailed their operations. The last thing they want to do is have a reason to justify a budget increase with a bigger enemy like Russia.

There has not been a single American Citizen charged with anything related to Russian collusion. Not one.

And until that happens then collusion didn't happen.
