Kaepernick Shows Up At 'Unthanksgiving Day' Event, Calls For 'Resistance'
Colin Kaepernick visited Alcatraz Island on Thursday to participate in the Indigenous People’s Sunrise Gathering, an event also known as “Un-Thanksgiving Day.”
The annual gathering commemorates the Native Americans who occupied the prison from 1969 to 1971 to reclaim the island and have it turned into an Indian educational center.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback gave a speech after a Native American elder gave him two honorary eagle feathers, The Mercury News reported.
“Our fight is the same fight,” Kaepernick said. “We’re all fighting for our justice, for our freedom.”

I don't think he's a bad guy.Colin Kaepernick seems to be a very decent, honourable man.
I don't think he is painting all police with the same brush.I think he is profoundly passionate about that which he believes in. I also think it takes a huge amount of courage to stick to his views this long.
I'm sure for the most part, he is a good person too.
However, though its been proven more than once police have failed the black community, I think the majority of police do try and treat all equal. So to see a man wear socks with pigs dressed like cops, or to praise Fidel Castro, I guess that's where we differ one someone being very decent.
Stand strong to support your community, but in doing so don't wipe all police with the same brush. They risk their lives daily and deserve better.
There is also nothing wrong with attending the unthanksgiving day, I just don't see it helping he cause for employment.
I think he is making the best of his situation.I don't think he's a bad guy.
Maybe he just didn't think through all the ramifications of his decision. I also don't think he believed it would become this big. But to his credit, he made a choice and he is standing by it.
I'll believe it when I see it.When his lawyer hands him that big owners' collusion lawsuit cheque.
CK is mentally ill. Delusional. Your position doesn't seem far from it either.Yup. When his lawyer hands him that big owners' collusion lawsuit cheque.
In the meantime, CK is at the Alcatraz Sunrise Ceremony, hard at work sjw-ing.
I'll believe it when I see it.

WEEK 13... STILL NOT PLAYING!
Sucker
They were distractions. And they were all waaay better than CK.Meanwhile child abusing Adrian Peterson is playing, cocaine addled Micheal Irvin, cheating Tom Brady deflate gate, videotaping opponent practice Bill Bellicheck, homophobic comment making assistant coach Mike Priefer, sexual assaulting Ben Rothesberger, dog abusing Micheal Vick all have/had jobs.
Not so sure about this. I do not think that he had a clue that he would become unemployable, when he did this. Remember, he had a good, well paying job with the 49ers when he did this and opted out of his contract. I am sure that at that time that he was confident of future employment. Surprise!Lots of good points being made in this thread.
As smallcock pointed out, he chose to sacrifice his career for a political stance, and in the end, only he will know if it was worth it.
Not so sure he is standing by his decision. No team wants to employ him, so he seems to simply be left standing on the outside looking in. Not sure if he will ever get a job again:I don't think he's a bad guy.

Not so sure he is standing by his decision. No team wants to employ him, so he seems to simply be left standing on the outside looking in. Not sure if he will ever get a job again:
1. The anthem issue
2. The snowball affect of initiating the anthem protest
3. The cops are pigs socks
4. The likely fan backlash for a team that signs him
5. The collusion law suit
6. The Team distraction that will come from his signing. Sure, other players have been a distraction, but it is not plan A for a team.
7. The possible league blame ascribed to him for some of the drop in ratings.
Like I said. He did not think these things through.I don't think he's a bad guy.

He should claim that he is part Cherokee. It might help him become get back in the game. Look what it did for Pocahontas. Sometimes in order to play the game, you have to know how to play the game. *wink*Yup. When his lawyer hands him that big owners' collusion lawsuit cheque.
In the meantime, CK is at the Alcatraz Sunrise Ceremony, hard at work sjw-ing.
If he were a Rhodes Scholar, or had a full freight postgraduate tuition offer he likely wouldn't have been playing in the NFL.Like I said. He did not think these things through.
Thats kinda how we feel about your posts a lot of the timeI don't think he's a bad guy.
