Another bold move by Shapeero.Jays pick up Diaz from Cards.
Not sure if this kid has his head on straight. AA (I am aware AA has moved on) said we are bringing in quality people and made changes based on that idea, not sure Diaz is in the quality category. Skill set he looks good but if he is a problem child, he can mess up a clubhouse.Another bold move by Shapeero.
How long 'til he attempts something significant?
Also Rangers and Padres. Looks like he wants to be on the west coast.I heard that there were 7 teams remaining.
Dodgers, Angels, Seattle, Cubs, Giants and 2 others.
Imagine the Giants will end up with both Stanton and Ohtani! That would be a fun division between Dodgers and Giants for next summer.I heard that there were 7 teams remaining.
Dodgers, Angels, Seattle, Cubs, Giants and 2 others.
All west-coast teams.I heard that there were 7 teams remaining.

All west-coast teams.
Apparently he doesnt want to live on east-coast
Point taken, to a point.Apparently they're interested in Jake Arrieta.
No matter how big the moves or small the moves, your criticism is means nothing for another 3 years. Any new GM should basically get 5 years to prove themselves. You judge someone on their body of work. AA hadn't accomplished jack shit after two years.
Shapiro is a corporate cost cutter.
.
Point taken, to a point.
AA was a raw young pup when he got the job and Shaps was already this high-falootin exec of the year. As such it is understandable that AA would need a much longer learning curve. As well, Shaps inherited a very strong team which has gotten worse each of his two years and could possibly be even worse this year, while AA inherited a fairly shitty team. He made some missteps but he kept giving us hope as well as build a family of an organization. The players could tell that he was passionate and sincere. He created an atmosphere that developed loyalty throughout all areas. Shapeero is a corporate cost cutter.
As well, the talk that Shaps could not improve the team with what AA left him is pure speculation. We never got a chance to see what AA could have done and it is a convenient excuse now.
Maybe I am wrong about Shapeero because I'd love to have an exciting team, but for the slightly more than 2 years he has been here, his moves have been of the same style over and over and over.
Ohtani signed with the Angels as per latest report. Instant contender with Trout in the OF. After MLB winter meeting, Stanton could end up with the Yanks. If that will be the case,Jays might as well try to trade Donaldson for lots of prospects.I heard that there were 7 teams remaining.
Dodgers, Angels, Seattle, Cubs, Giants and 2 others.
Yeah, but can they play small ball?Imagine a lineup with Stanton, Judge and G. Sanchez.
Not a surprise, pay attention to what Roger's isn't saying.Blue Jays are for sale. Rogers CEO has stated the firm is looking at asset sales to cash in and reinvest in other parts of their business. Rogers bought the Jays for $165 million in 2000, Forbes has listed the teams value at $1.3 billion so it would be a huge gain on investment when Rogers sell. Rogers has stated the they are not actively shopping the team but they will have to look at a potential sale as they look to dump corporate assets.
Why is it becoming obsolete??Not a surprise, pay attention to what Roger's isn't saying.
The Roger's Center is becoming obsolete, the Jays will be at a disadvantage unless a new stadium is built. This has been in the works for awhile now, I also know where the new site will be. They want to maximize the waterfront, just like PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Ontario Place wants to tear down the Squares and the Cinesphere with the inner lagoon getting filled in. Good luck getting City Council on board. That's why they want to sell
