Kaepernick is good enough to be on an NFL roster. I think his TD/INT ratio last year was 18:3. So he’s good enough but he is the author of his own demise when it comes to not being employed. Last year during the opening MNF game against he Rams the broadcast constantly showed him. He was a backup at the time so for him to have that much attention was ridiculous. That level of attention/glare has come back to bite him in the ass.

I think Kaepernick is simply not that good of a QB and that is why he is not on a roster. Also it was only a matter of time before a team, due to injuries, gave him a shot(before the knee thing).

Unfortunately CK is his own worst enemy.

I have worked with several people who had the skill and talent to be good performers in their role, but the attitude and baggage they brought with them was just not worth it. As much as one good employee could offer, I had to manage and look out for the best interests in the rest of the team.

CK may think he is sticking it to "the man", but in reality he is alienating himself from his peers and in some ways, exhibiting the behaviors that ironically, come into play with the issue at hand.

As a fan of the NFL I am not worried about the game. As ratings drop it has zero impact on the majority of fans. The only people it will impact are the players because if ratings continue to slide, then TV contracts will not be as lucrative, endorsements will decline and the only people who pay for that are the players themselves because salaries will drop to offset the losses.

If I was CK's agent or friend my advice to him would be:

1. Shut the fuck up.
2. Promote the anthem, flag and NFL.
3. Promote your cause in a positive, community oriented fashion with buy-in from the local police departments.

But who knows, in time CK could become the next "Voice of the Oppressed" or just some schmuck sucking cock behind a liquor store to pay for his next rock of crack.
