Will you stop with this X# of games back crap!?!? They need to string a bunch of wins together if they are going to get there. So far that has not happened! If they win today awesome, if they don't same shit different day! Ever so often they look like the team the fans expected them to be, yesterday was one of those days. Unfortunately those days have been uncommon this year and unless we see some consistency soon, this season is TOAST!
Jeezus, who peed in your cornflakes this morning?? :peep:

Its not over till the fat lady sings

Jays down 5-0 in the 2nd, could be worse. In Chicago, Lester has given up 9 runs to the Pirates in the top of the 1st. Make that 10, he's been pulled only getting 2 outs.

Happ only gave up 2 earned runs in 4. So not a terrible bad outing

Here
Unless the BJ's can win 12 of the next 15 games, this team will be sellers not buyers after the break.

And I don't think they are capable of going 12 & 3. In theory, yes; in practice, no.

And even if they did, it would have to be part of a 50 & 24 run the rest of the way...

As I have said before, they have the talent but not the requisite consistency.

Has there ever been a better second base shortstop duo than Altuve and Correia? Both offence and defense....Altuve might be the most interesting guy to watch in baseball..which helped make this debacle watchable

The earned run stuff can be misleading...the Astros pounded him after an error, so he got pounded but runs were considered unearned as balls flew over the fence...
If Donaldson doesn't commit the error, the inning is over and it's 1-0 instead of 5-0. How is that misleading?

if those guys hit the homers in the third inning, the runs are earned.....Happ gave up 3 homers, suggesting that should be factored in......probably thse things even out over time, so not really complaining, just pointing it out

just referring to the year they are having...they may or may not stand the test of time (my bet is they will)....but their 2017 numbers probably best ever if continues anywhere near the current pace(ok stat freaks, correct me)
