I get that thanks to our bubblehead Prime Minister, the law is now one big grey area, but it amazes me how many people are just walking down the street smoking dunes like it was perfectly ok these days.

It's gotten out of control already. Absolutely out of control. I've been working downtown a lot lately and several times a day I will see or usually smell pot heads.

You really think there are more smoking publicly? I haven't noticed any more than normal. It's rare that a day goes by where I don't see someone smoking or smell it and that hasn't changed with the imminent legislative adjustments.

The only thing I want in my lungs is Air. The idea of smoking anything is absurd to me simply from a health point of view. I've never even tried a single drag on a cigarette. Never have, never will. I find the smell of tobacco and pot offensively and pot is by far the worse of the two for me. Nauseating actually.

I could give a fuck if any person would smoke it in private. I don't care if a person wants to do heroin in private (but just don't ask for the government to pay for your multiple rehab stints). But I don't appreciate it in public and my right for a smoke and stink free environment trumps dope heads desire to get high in public.

I do smell weed while walking the streets quite often. I don't really care one way or the other.

However, I do think that once the government puts rules in place it would be unusual for them to allow consumption of weed while walking the streets but not allow someone to drink a beer. I imagine they would have to have the same rules and same enforcement of those rules.

I smoked my last spliff in May 2007, a large mortgage will do that. Financial good came from it, my income rose appreciably by the end of the decade.

Canada should follow Holland's lead regarding pot. In Amsterdam, if you puff in public you will get fined by the police. On my last trip to Amsterdam I was stone free. It didn't decrease my appreciation for the city's South American steakhouses, nor my love for pickled herring nor my enjoyment of the Concertgebouw.

I've not noticed any Appreciable increase in outdoor consumption since the 60's. If anything, there has been a decline.

You're right. We should really be able walk down the street with a beer like in other civilized countries.
