it is a pity that the law abiding Muslims have to take the brunt of the retaliation for the killings by the terrorists. Do you think that this is okay? Off course the terrorist should be stoned to death whether they are Muslims or Right wing terrorists. At least come out and condemn the right wing terrorists and not find excuses for them.

Just wondering why bver has to post TWICE,...."should be stoned to death",...

Seems to be a rather uncommon punishment for the civilized cultures of the world.

I think this thread shows why ads like the one in post 1 are necessary.
Racism is still a problem. It is being taught to children as we speak. I'm in my 40s and when I was a kid there used to be a joke about how Chinese people name their kids by throwing a steel chair down some stairs. I heard that joke being uttered by teens last month.

The word liar spewing out of your mouth should be directed at the person standing on the other side of the mirror facing you.
You come out with the biggest and biased nonsense. Your rhetoric has always been directed against the Muslims as you lump all of them in one category. Have you said anything nice about them? If you do not want the relatives and friends of the victims to go through it all, then remember that a huge number of Muslims are the victims and have lost their relatives and friends, prior to moving to Canada. So why are you picking on them? Absolutely, nothing nice from you, but just the usual,...,...,???
ALL total bold face lies.

Just were the hell do you get this shit.

Copy ONE post were I said any of the above,...until then,...STFU.

Racism comes all shapes, sizes,...AND colours,...!!!

Agreed, BUT, as has been used by some here, racism takes many forms.

How would you know what racist comments are made by other cultures about "whites".

Shit, even Latinos have a derogatory word for whites.

Did I say anything about whites being immune to racism?

Did I even mention the ethnicity of the teens uttering the joke?

Racism vs whites gets a low priority in Canada because they are the majority and have the most power.

Think about it, when addressing a problem don't you prioritize things?

Don't forget the hate crime laws etc can also be applied to white victims as well.

FAST you could have a whole discussion by yourself. You read too deep into things and you force everything to be so painfully spelled out.

Of course racism comes in all forms. I never said it didn't. But of course since I didn't mention it you assume I have some sort of anti white agenda.

Point is we both agree that racism exists and it needs to be fixed. OR do you disagree with that statement?

The ad created only more resentment , other ways could've been used like it was suggested earlier.
Sure some people will get their back up that it's a white guy being racist.

But given that whites are most common in Toronto doesn't it make sense it is a white face? Would people have been happier with a rainbow of gender, sexuality, and race saying the racist comment?

I think the poster was effective because it has certainly started a dialogue amongst us.

I find on terb there is a general tone of people being against political correctness seems now some of those people want it.

I like one person's suggestion of just the bubbles but no faces. But would it get as much attention? Not sure.

I agree with the others that mentioned a cartoon bubble on one side with even a animation would have been as effective. The ad was made purposely made to inflame and it created more animosity, I don't find it appropriate.

You can not solve the problems of racism and sexism with more racism and sexism. It is only politically correct racism and sexism - against white males that seems to be acceptable in the current liberal environment.

Same reason why many highly qualified people were excluded from Trudeau jr cabinet. Racist and sexist collectivist ideology rather than rational merit based cabinet selection. Nothing we have seen before can quite compare to the course the Liberals have embarked upon: an explicit 50-50 gender quota for Justin Trudeau's cabinet.

In my opinion, this ad campaign signals the success and influence that islamists have in promoting their agenda of demonizing anyone who questions islamic values.

The fact that the woman is wearing a hijab does not mean she is an islamic supremacist but it does show that she follows islamic customs and values.

Many islamic values, customs and laws - such as killing homosexuals, honor killings, female genital mutilation, stoning adulterers, killing infidels, cutting off hands, etc. are simply barbaric and have no place in a civilized society. Islam and sharia law are bigoted hateful political ideologies.

We should not discriminate against muslims but we should recognize islamists for what they are - we must fight the spreading cancer of islamic supremacism if we want to leave a free and peaceful country for our children.

If they want to promote Islam and show Muslims in a good light, then the poster should show a group of Muslims (wearing hijabs of course) doing a good deed such as ..................................

Of course, they should also have posters showing Irish Catholics doing a good deed such as rescuing a child from a burning house.

Always did agree,...never stated otherwise.

BUT,...problem is,...whenever the term racist is used,...it always points to a very select part of the population,...to think otherwise is at least naive,...or worse.

And if you even bothered to look at the subject AD,...it absolutely confirms.

It's worse. There are people blaming the Chinese for driving up real estate prices. Maybe they'll pass a law making it illegal for Chinese to buy houses.

The White guy being racist is the focus of the promotion. The purpose of the promotion is in the smaller print lower down on the ad.

A positive ad would have a rainbow of people welcoming the girl into the community. There are many other options. Seems the only way this promotion can't be seen as racist is if you feel you can't be racist against white people for a list of reasons.

If dialogue is the goal, then in the US they should have the KKK produce public safety promotions. You can imagine who would be the focus and perpetrator and who would be the victim.
