Was reading that article. Seem to remember a few saying it was a mistake trading Hendricks and letting Lowe go. As well Revere.http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/ex-files-plenty-former-blue-jays-struggling-2016/
More former Jays are busts than stars this year!
I would have kept Lowe as well. Mea Culpa. Was reading that article. Seem to remember a few saying it was a mistake trading Hendricks and letting Lowe go. As well Revere.
About the only trade that doesn't work at this time is the Dickey one. Even then Dickey has eaten a lot of innings for us. Something we wouldn't have had the last few years.
I don't think it's ever happened before.I would trade Storen back for Revere, After saying that has there ever been a trade where you trade the same players back to there former team, I know team have traded for the same player back but I mean the same trade to the team back same players. Would be interested know ing that
And another baserunning mistake by Martin costing us a possible runWhat a stinker tonight. Nothing working.
I'll focus most of my distain for Martin. 3 passed balls (actually 4 PB but the scorer was generous with a wild pitch). Hasn't thrown out a base runner in a month (after leading the league in putouts last year).
More than his slumping offence, the deterioration on defence is more concerning. Many ageing catchers convert to DH or 1B if they hit well enough but the Jays have a surplus of players who may play these positions as they age; JB, EE, Smoak, and whenever JD or Tulo get injured.
And he is due $75 mil over the next 4 years. What a mess.
At least 3 abandoned and left to die on 3B.11 men left on base thru 9 innings.
Bullpen brutal again, all 4 Tigers reach base in the 10th, can't even get 1 out. What a waste, 11 men left on base thru 9 innings. We'll probably blow this one in extra innings.
This absolutely was on our so called big bats tonight. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out, JB strikes out, JD's walks to make them full, EE strikes out, and Martin flies out.I blame the offense more than I blame the pen.
JB, EE and Martin are definitely on the decline. Their best years are behind them. Ahead only decay. Sorry to be so blunt but that is a clinical analysis.JB strikes out, EE strikes out, and Martin flies out.
I'm sorry but at the very least our hitting coach Brook Jacoby needs to go, and I have to say Gibby as well. This absolutely was on our so called big bats tonight. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out, JB strikes out, JD's walks to make them full, EE strikes out, and Martin flies out
I don't think either of these boys are going to get the big contracts they seek. I think they'll get decent ones, but probably not what they're looking for.JB, EE on the decline. Their best years are behind them. Ahead only decay. Sorry to be so blunt but that is a clinical analysis.
What is he doing differently than last year, when the offense was amazing?I'm sorry but at the very least our hitting coach Brook Jacoby needs to go,
Take a valium, shacky. What is he doing differently than last year, when the offense was amazing?
Jays win 5 series in a row and get to within about 3 games, down from about 8 games out and it seems the team is starting to find itself.
Now there are two losses in a row :fear: and heads must roll.
You guys are something else.:frusty:
So if they start winning and win the division and eventually the WS than obviously that would be because of Gibby and Jacoby?Take a valium, shacky.
This is on Gibby and also on Jacoby.
1 o'clock start today BTW
