It happens to the best of teams, they ripped a huge one in Detroit.
You could almost see it coming, they've played the majority of their away games in American League East parks, they weren't ready for Comerica. Now lets hope it's just a one off, I have faith in Sancho.

Was reading that article. Seem to remember a few saying it was a mistake trading Hendricks and letting Lowe go. As well Revere.
About the only trade that doesn't work at this time is the Dickey one. Even then Dickey has eaten a lot of innings for us. Something we wouldn't have had the last few years.
I would have kept Lowe as well. Mea Culpa.

I would trade Storen back for Revere, After saying that has there ever been a trade where you trade the same players back to there former team, I know team have traded for the same player back but I mean the same trade to the team back same players. Would be interested know ing that

This absolutely was on our so called big bats tonight. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out, JB strikes out, JD's walks to make them full, EE strikes out, and Martin flies out.
JB, EE and Martin are definitely on the decline. Their best years are behind them. Ahead only decay. Sorry to be so blunt but that is a clinical analysis.
I'm sorry but at the very least our hitting coach Brook Jacoby needs to go, and I have to say Gibby as well.

Firing Gibby was brought up on a radio call-in show, and Mike Wilner said he didnt think it was a good idea because Gibby was well liked in the clubhouse. Really, this is how we judge managers now, by how well he's liked??!! I always though W/L results was the first decider (or ought to be anyways)
I don't think either of these boys are going to get the big contracts they seek. I think they'll get decent ones, but probably not what they're looking for.
What is he doing differently than last year, when the offense was amazing?
Jays win 5 series in a row and get to within about 3 games, down from about 8 games out and it seems the team is starting to find itself.

A good batting coach should be able to pull his team out of a batting slump.
All I see Jays doing is not executing bunts or moving runners up.
They are constantly swinging for the fences when they should be looking to just poke the ball opposite field or up the middle for a single.
This is on Gibby and also on Jacoby.
They need to be stronger and give their players shit when they dont play fundamental baseball

AK you should give Jacoby a call and tell him to stop telling JB and EE and others to have poor at bats trying to hit balls out of the park when all they need is a solid at bat. Maybe he doesn't know. Or maybe the players aren't playing well and no amount of coaching would help. Tell me about the last time a coach pulled a team out of a batting slump? I can't recall although I'm sure it happens often because most teams have slumps.
It's not the coaches it's the players. Period. Do you think the Detroit hitting coach should get credit because Cabrera did what we all were pretty sure he would do? Yeah, probably.
