Yes, he did but his playoff record prior to that was pretty bad.Umm, he won a Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts in 2007 as well.
Are you saying you think Peyton Manning is better than Joe Montana or Tom Brady??Looks like the only criteria against Peyton just took a big hit.
I'm saying the argument for Peyton is stronger now than it was a day ago.Are you saying you think Peyton Manning is better than Joe Montana or Tom Brady??
GOAT QB in football is neither one of these above players.

Thanks for quoting me because I still believe that.https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?550485-NFL-Playoffs/page4
Not in the least. There are compelling arguments to be made for all 3.
I am saying that it is impossible to have an unequivocal answer. To repeat, there are too many parameters. They were/are all amazing but there are too many factors and eras and teammates and opponents and coaches to declare a definitive winner. As somebody else said, you can't compare players from different eras. As I said QB's do not compete head to head like in individual sports where the task is clearly easier yet still open to interpretation.
We should accept and appreciate what we've been able to see and it is fun to debate and speculate, but unless some QB wins 15 SBs with 2,000 TD's and a consistent dramatic turnover of teammates and coaches (maybe a slight exaggeration LOL), it comes down to a subjective opinion to which we are all entitled to believe but not entitled to force others to believe
Two weeks ago in the above thread you were saying QB from different eras can not be compared to one another and now all of a sudden you post "Peyton Manning=GOAT"
As I said in that thread I believe you are a Manning super fan as to your assertion.
But please do tell us if QB from different eras can be compared to one another and do tell us what your basis for "Peyton Manning=GOAT" is otherwise your thread title is misleading and you are flip flopping.
You simply can't have one set of guidelines and change those guidelines as certain individuals win Super Bowls to benefit your favourite players.
Cam Newton will be 27 in May.Cam Newton at 24 still has many years left to get his SB.
Not according to our resident expert.Peyton Manning had virtually nothing to do with that Super Bowl.
The success of any football team is solely on the shoulders of the QB
You live such an exciting life starting a thread with me in mind. Thanks for quoting me because I still believe that.
Actually, the main reason I started this thread was to be provocative and in particular with you in mind. I suspected you couldn't resist taking the bait and evidently I was right.
No, I wouldn't automatically say that PM is GOAT, but I do believe the fact that the biggest knock against him was his Super Bowl record, not even you could deny that that argument has been diminished with today's win.
Actually, I had been interested in an honest discourse of an interesting topic. Unfortunately, you are so intransigent and unwilling to even entertain the thought of PM being in the equation, that you are the one who has no knowledge. You live such an exciting life starting a thread with me in mind.
Thanks for confirming my assessment of you that you are just a TROLL trolling and being provocative with no knowledge of football, but just arguing for the sake of arguing.
Good luck with that.

You can argue that Montana and Brady are better than Peyton. Favre??? PleasePeyton is a great QB. First ballot HOF for sure. But the GOAT? Nope. His game last night was awful. The Denver Defense won that game in spite of Peyton's shit performance.
As for quarterbacks who are the GOAT, there's no way Peyton is better than a whole handful, Joe Montana, Tom Brady, and Brett Favre just to name 3.
