The Red Sox are mediocre, except for the fact that they've been 27-19 since July 30th and outscored their opponents by 61 runs in that span.

The Red Sox were picked to win the ALE by many and then promptly imploded in the first half with a couple of lengthy losing streaks. Pedroia out for a stint as well.

I thought we should have taken both series. But the "Hutch FActor" at Fenway, plus Buehrle's aches blew the first series and then bullpen implosion lost us Saturday's game. Plus fielding errors. Stuff happens, but this is NOT how we ran the table in August and exactly how we were a sub .500 team up to late July.
