I'm getting a little tired of Pillar. Play Revere in center and put Colabello in left. Yes, I'll sacrifice some defense to see CC mash.

Pillar ain't so bad. His stats are very similar to Smoak (aside from SLG and HRs). I'd like to see more Cola, but right now there's no place in the lineup against righties.

What a nail biter tonight ! Gibby left Price in one inning too long . He was struggling all game.
The offense couldn't get much going against Nova either.

New winning streak starts tomorrow !

I like Gibby, I like the kid, Sanchez, but I think this situation(the eighth) called for a veteran like Hawkins or Lowe.
Oh well we were not going to 'run the table'.

OK, I laid off Gibbons for a while...but he gets the blame tonite. Price had fought like hell to get through 7 innings....very few easy outs and lots of hits. It was time to go to the bullpen...and at the very least after Texeira's hit, but inexcusable to leave Price in for 2 more hits. Yes, Sanchez gave up the homer...but do you really think he would have given up 3 straight hits? Gibbons stayed on the horse way too long......and that's why he is a liability. Also the offence has shut down after the early innings.....I don't think they have scored in the last 3 innings of a game, since they won in 10 last Friday.

Was glad to see my whipping boy Pillar get a hit in the ninth,,,,,,although another few feet to the shortstop side and its a double play....

We were bound to lose a game or two. Its OK, Yankees arent as good as they think they are.

We need the next 2 wins. Even if we dont, its still not the end of the world

Gibbons was right to leave Price in there. He's the ace you've always wanted and paid a fortune for, so he gets a longer leash.

Fuck, we had Miller on the ropes, should've at least gotten Pennington in. Revere sucks. Haven't seen anything I like about him. He was a piece we didn't really need, and cost us Valencia in the process.

I'm surprised they didn't Cola or Navorro pinch hit for him. Revere maybe better at fielding but his bat sucks, no power, no nothing. Just infield hits and soft hits to the outfield. Needed somebody to drive the runners home.

Maybe if you paid attention you'd see that cola already pinch hit for Goins.

OMFG people. One loss and the knives are out. He went with his shutdown 8th inning guy....in the eighth. It was all in all the right choices made. It just didn't work out. That's baseball.

Revere had 184 hits last year. 184. I don't care if they are squibs, soft liners, infield hits etc. Few get that many. And all move baserunners.

Not every player on a team, as mentioned before will be a 30/30 guy, hit. 300 and play great D.

They won 11 in a row, several close games in there. Start bitching when they go 4 and 9 like the Yankees did.

If Revere is a working class version of Ichiro, I can live with that.

Didn't watch the game, was at the Rogers Cup. Watching a new tennis sensation named Belinda Bencic, coached by Martina Hingis no less. She beat Bouchard, Wozniacki, Lisicki and now Ivanovic - that's quite a cavalcade of attractive young ladies! Rory McIlroy dumped Caroline Wozniacki, I understand, he didn't want to end up like Robbie Alomar. But my mind keeps telling me he's a fool.

The problem is that the Yanks' offence is suddenly firing again and ours is still sputtering. So far, we've been winning with pitching and D in this stretch of the season. Eventually, pitching must have a bad game or inning or two.

Martin is slumping. Smoak is powerful, but still not consistent. Pillar is slumping. Tulo and Revere are still adjusting. Right now, our BO is not consistent.

Your right, I wasn't paying attention as I didn't catch the whole game. I was busy getting laid and just turned on the game :)

Revere is a good percentage singles hitter and that is all we needed at that point. Heck a fly ball to the outfield would have done it, and the infield was drawn in. This is a perfect example of the fact that good hitters fail more often than they succeed. Tip your hat to Miller on that one..but yeah I was disappointed because I thought Revere would slap one somewhere.
