If Sanchez did plunk him on purpose he didn't do a very good job. Instead of tossing a pitch at the legs he should have drilled him square in the back.
FUCK That! Throw it near his chin, like the one near Donaldson's face.

Volquez has a history of hitting guys at the plate.
Volquez hit a White Sox, then took a swing at Semardzija. He goes after Donaldson after Sanchez's errant pitch and EE gets in his grill. EE is a laid back guy but I'm not sure he's very likeable when he's angry. I don't like Volquez's chances against either of those dudes.

It was quite comical really.

EE has the temperament of a teddy bear but something about him tells me he doesn't suffer macho men gladly. He got into Volquez's grill, Lorenzo Cain attempted to intercede and EE pushed him back like he Woody Allen.

Its a good thing no punches were thrown or we'd perhaps be looking at lengthy suspensions by our key players. Jays handled it right, settle the game with bats and take the W

Help me out here guys. David Price pitches to-day. Does that mean his next start (5 days later) is against the Yankees on Saturday and the next start after that (5 days later) is against Oakland on the Thursday following?

Volquez on Donaldson: http://www.torontosun.com/2015/08/02/royals-volquez-on-jays-donaldson-hes-a-baby

“I have to pitch to both sides of the plate. If he gets mad, there’s nothing I can do. That’s the scouting report we’ve got, so you’ve got to throw up and in to him. He can’t take it. I don’t know why. He hit a lot of homers in the first couple of games and he was pimping everything he does. Somebody hits you, you’ve got to take it, because you’re pimping everything you do.”
WTF does he mean by "pimping"??!
I assume he means Josh was showing off a little too much??

Volquez is the real pussy.
Throw better pitches then if you dont wanna give up so many homers

I wouldn't call Volquez a pussy, he was following the Ferguson Jenkins code. Canada's greatest pitcher was known for pitching inside to power hitters and wasn't above knocking them on their ass if they did too much damage to his club.

Volquez figured he had a better chance of getting his message through to Donaldson. Obviously he wasn't going to go after Jose, his response can be demoralizing. Not sure if the pitch to Tulo was intentional, was he calling the ump's bluff?

In that case the Jays should call him up when his brother is the ump for that game.
From wiki: To avoid potential conflicts of interest, Jim does not work behind the plate during his brother's starts. More recently, Jim has not officiated games that includes his brother's team. If his crew is involved in games that include Randy's team, he is removed from those games and switches with another umpire.

It's a 5 game rotation, not 5 days, but occasionally they do move a guy up in the rotation if he has had 4 off days prior (or even in the case of RA Dickey yesterday, he went one day early). So Price should go on Saturday against the Yanks, and then again the following Friday against the Yanks. Then Fri 21st in LA and 27th in Texas. All assuming the 5 game thing and not 5 days.

Here
Is it just my imagination? Has anyone else noticed a subtle change in the TV broadcasts? Production values: more close ups, more angles, more cameras, quicker/better replays and recaps, etc.?

And can anyone explain why they insist on dressing Zauny in business suits when it seems obvious he would look much more like himself if he wore more sportier clothes?

Curious mind wants to know...

It's the Son of Cherry marketing ploy.

The Blue Jays have said Price will pitch every 5th day (barring rainouts on days he's scheduled), and others (read Hutch) will be bumped to keep David on his schedule.
Otherwise, what DanJ said is accurate, and a normal situation.
