That's a big win. Coming back twice from 3 run deficits - lot of bangers in this lineup.
Very few teams can beat KC in extra innings.

That Tulo has looked very impressive in the field. He effortlessly handled some difficult shots directed at him tonight.
He handles everything with this concentrated, electric, athletic precision. A huge upgrade on the sloppiness or house of horrors of Reyes trying to field the ball.

And the pen fucks things up again
The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen threw 6 innings tonight, giving up 2 runs, striking out 4, 0 BB.
What a bunch of fuckups. :eyebrows::crazy::rolleyes::crazy::eyebrows:

a: the Jay bullpen has been excellent since all star game, lowest era in league......Osuna for rookie of the year

b: You all forget Marc OOOOO who has pitched at a number 3 level......smart pitcher uses his stuff very well...Estrada for best surprise of the year

c: Carrera has been overlooked and underrated since he came up...and now maybe he loses job to Ben Revere....Carrera had 3 key hits tonite. hitting 280.....Carrera for underrated player of the year

d: Gibbons is managing well these days ...and I have been one to say we need a better manager........Gibbons for quandary of the year

Loup threw one pitch and Hosmer got an excuse me roller which JD threw away....cant blame Loupy for that...Schultz has had better outings, but wasn't terrible...for terrible see the guy who started the seventh for KC

Dickey has been too inconsistent this year to be a solid #3 starter IMO
I have to agree. Nothing compared to the Jays 1992 starting rotation. Jack Morris, Jimmy Key, Juan Guzman, Dave Stieb/David Cone, Todd Stotllemyre.

Liam Hendricks has turned into a pitcher this year.
Used to throw pitch to contact Josh Towers type crap; but, tonight he had some really great sinking fastballs that totally perplexed and bewildered the hitters facing him in the 11th inning.
Must be a student of the game.

Travis on the DL AGAIN. No good having a young budding star if he's hurt all the time.

Found this on twitter:

I Revere Toronto for all the trades they made this week. The Price they paid was Lowe. Some might even say Tulo

Hopefully, AA rewards him with a deal to a contender.

Was Ben Revere necessary?

Ezequiel Carrera is a smart baseball player and he held his own against Cueto. I see him becoming the everyday left fielder and a potential batting leader. I'm willing to honour the Sanchez wager, but I won't go silent until the Blue Jays fulfill their destiny. Whatever that may be.

Revere was brought in for his speed. Carrera runs well also but not nearly as fast as Revere.

Also as Carrera showed last night again he makes too many baserunning mistakes. There was no need for him to go to 3rd with 2 outs on that throw to the plate

He was giving himself up on the play to ensure that the Royals threw to the cut off man and not to home plate.

Zobrist doesnt have the strongest arm out there, not sure it was necessary. Plus it killed the rally when we only had 1 out

Always good to have diversity in the line up. He will be batting 9th. And we have control through 2017. So yes for what we gave up and our needs it was a good choice.

Some stunning line-up changes today. Carrerra and Valencia DFA-ed. Revere to bat lead off and Tulo sits one out.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-recall-kawasaki-dfa-carrera-valencia/

The Toronto Blue Jays made a flurry of roster moves on Saturday, clearing space for the newly acquired Mark Lowe and Ben Revere.

Reliever Ryan Tepera has been optioned to triple-A Buffalo while outfielder Ezequiel Carrera and utility man Danny Valencia have been designated for assignment.

Infielder Munenori Kawasaki has been promoted from the minors to give the team another bench player in the wake of Devon Travis’s shoulder injury.

The Valencia news is perhaps the most shocking considering the 30-year-old is in the midst of a solid season, slashing .296/.331/.506 with seven home runs and 29 RBI.

Adding an everyday outfielder in Revere, Valencia would be hard-pressed for playing time in a lineup ripe with right-handed bats.

In a part-time capacity, Carrera hit .279, scoring 23 runs while driving in 21.

With the pending addition of Lowe and only one move in the relief corps, Toronto will continue to use an eight-man bullpen for the time being.

yes for these reasons

1. he's a left handed bat
2. his speed
3. he makes contact (only 49 k's in over 600 ab last year)
4. they can re-sign him for a reasonable salary under arbitration

To compare Carrera against him is just plain silly.

I kind of understand the Valencia move, but Carrera should be the fourth outfielder. Where does it say Tulo is sitting out.....and if so, Gibbons first mistake of managing a top notch club. Smoak looked very bad at plate yesterday..while head and shoulders our best first baseman.

For sure. 1993 had Hentgen and Guzman at the top but it wasn't as deep as '92. I still think '93 was the better overall team though - we had the top 3 batting leaders in the AL.
