Oh cry me a river.
Where were your posts bashing the trade when it was made?
Hey Georgie, thanks for your opinion.
You have an edgy cranky style about you and I do enjoy reading your posts. You are pretty funny sometimes.
But, anyway, as Syndergaard goes I've always been a Jays prospect geek.
Since the internet took off and it became possible to closely follow all the Jays minor league affiliates and it's always made me groan, in the past and in the future, whenever they trade away a prospect since I become emotionally attached to them for some odd reason.
And even though I can't prove it on Terb, I did feel bad when he was traded away. Maybe that's why I've made so many tactless cheap shots against R.A. Dickey over the last 3 years, when, if I stop and think about it, what did he ever do to me to deserve all that grief.
As far as criticizing the trade at the time on Terb. I don't know. It might be there; but, I 'm not going to go over my post history and see if I said that. You can do that for me.
I've never thought of terb as some place I have to post all my opinions on so I can dig them up later on and say "I told you so."
People would just roll their eyes and think 'this guy should get a life' if I went down that path.
In life sometimes you're right and sometimes your wrong. Just got to learn from mistakes and move on.

In any case, I've always been against trading away top prospects in all sports I follow for old veterans even if they end up working.
You've never seen me once push the Jays to trade away prospects on terb for rentals or old guys in all the years there's been a Jays thread. I'm always the one pushing in the opposite direction.
I've always been a negative Nancy on trading away prospects.
If they trade away Jeff Hoffman or Daniel Norris I guarantee you I won't like it.
When the screaming horde is out there screaming for trading away top prospects I'm always groaning a bit and dreading it. Just the way I am.
It's true what you say about David Cone and Rickey Henderson though. I did have reservations about those trades; but, since it was Pat Gillick doing it; - what can you say - you've got to trust a guy with magical intuition like that.
I didn't like Cito Gaston for a while because of some of his strategies; but, when he won 2 world series titles every thing he did became divine and I just loved the guy to death. And never once did I criticize him again.
When people have a track record of success, you just learn to go with what they want.
Have a nice day Georgie Costanza. Baseball world is full of opinions eh. Maybe those Yankees can pull it off again this year.
