As in no games played for a year?
I'd ban them for the remaining 2015 season. That might sound a bit harsh, but hacking is a serious crime. Why do you think FBI is involved?!

MLB needs to send a strong message this wont be tolerated

You can't pain the whole organization with same brush, not mention punish the fans for a few bad apples. The only ones that be prosecuted are the ones involved. If they can prove what individuals were involved, than maybe take away draft pics some serious fines or something.

Yeah, I just read the official MLB rules on this. Turns out its not within comissioners power to ban a team for rest of the season.

See here: http://www.atlredline.com/st-louis-cardinals-hackers-facing-serious-federal-jail-1711805877

The idiot who did the hacking did so from his own home with an easy to trace IP#. He's looking at serious Jail time.

Maximum fine Cardinals can get is $2 million though, which is equivalent of a parking ticket for DeWitt who's worth a few billion himself. Thats not really a punishment

Not to mention, what exactly would baseball do with an uneven number of teams?

Pretty much. Plus banning the Cards for a season screws up the schedule and season for the other teams and the innocent Cards players.

Yeah good point.

If investigation proves upper management knew and propagated the hack, then they gotta come down harder then just a $2 million fine though. When you're worth $4 billion a $2 million fine is a total joke

You don't have to ban them for the season. They need to play games. But they should be banned from the 2015 postseason.

If you really want to fix voting then vote for Royals. That could finally get mlb To fix voting by finally getting rid of it.

back to the jays.......yes we should be happy about an 11 game win streak....but Gibbons accepted last nights loss way too easily

The streak should have ended tonite with a stud ace pitcher against a spot starter (altho Pillar's base running blunder cost). Last night a closer without a great fastball let the tying run on with a walk..not acceptable.

Still way too many games given away......look for the Orioles to soon move to the front of the division....a good team with an excellent manager. The Jays have talent....

Niese vs. Hutch tonight.

Niese has struggled in interleague play compiling a 4.91 ERA in 91 innings.
He also gave up 8 runs in 3 innings in his last start against the Jays

Here
We have talent. We may win games. We may have winning streaks.

But we will never be a winning team with this manager. Period.

The St. Louis Cardinals are worth $1,400,000,000 not $4,000,000,000 (Source: Forbes).

Hutch got bombed last Friday in Boston, thankfully the Jays scored 13 to bail him out. The bats have gone a little cold the last few games hopefully they will break out at home.
