I was lucky enough to see the last 3 games at the dome....amazing TEAM work.....keep it going!
Interesting how Gibby has become a much better manager lol
No he's still a below average manager.
Great winning streak, hopefully we can keep it up. Need a double digit streak to make up for that poor first 1/3 of the season.
Seriously though can we not keep a roster spot for Kawasaki. This guy is a sparkplug for the team and his enthusiasm and heart are unquestionable. Send Goins down instead.

So watching EE today I wonder if he needs 15 on the DL. We have enough bats for now I'd rather get him healthy.......

AK-47 you've lost one of your paisan stripes over Edwin. I love the dude, he's the quiet navigator of the Jays ship. He keeps the team on an even keel when the waters get turbulent.

Scott Copeland is a smart pitcher, the sort of pitcher who's savy comes from experience. The Jays are going to need him down the stretch.

I salute him, anyone for some Aaron Copeland:

That may haven true for the past few years, but not this year. He's barely hitting above .200 and as I stated before his clutch-hitting hasnt been there consistently.

But alas, if he's injured then I guess that explains it

He may well have a shoulder injury. OTOH, he is top 10 in both HR's and RBI's and if he just delivers once a game, he serves up more power and production than most .300 hitters.

He's also always struck me as a truly nice, quiet guy who just goes about his business. He's not intense and temperamental like JB or flashy like Donaldson. He's just a nice, hard working, no bullshit quiet guy.

Possible development in the AL east.
Andrew Miller, the Yanks closer, has been put on disabled list with forearm injury.
This type of announcement is sometimes a precursor to an announcement later on that the pitcher has to undergo Tommy John surgery.

That's a big blow. Bullpen is / was their strong suit.

TB's Odorizzi also on DL.

Aaron would have got the "W" if he had pitched. Young 22 year old guy can't go 2 starts in a row. This why there will never be another 30 game winner because starting pitchers get barely 30 starts a season. To win 30 they would have to go 30-0.

His injury is described as a strained forearm muscle, doesn't sound like any kind of elbow injury. Don't get you hopes up that Miller will be out for an extended period of time. But no doubt a bit of a break for the Jays.

You know Sanchez would've gotten the win?
You have a crystal ball that allows you to see how he would've pitched?

I'm not sure why you're saying he can't go 2 starts in a row, Sanchez had taken his turn 11 straight times through the rotation.
The Blue Jays are trying to moderate his innings workload this season, I'm happy Aaron will be able to go a strong 7 in October
because Gibby decided to skip his turn on a random Wednesday in June.
Sanchez pitched 133 1/3 innings last year (total), teams tend to restrict innings
for young pitchers to an additional 10-15% each year (another 13-20).
He's at 66 innings as of today.

What's the fascination with 30 wins in a season for a pitcher all about?

23 is the new 30. I have no clue what I am saying about Aaron but here is what Greg Zaun said

http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/zaun-disagrees-with-decision-to-rest-sanchez/
I like Zaun, I think he's a good part of the Blue Jays broadcast.
Zaunie's job is to entertain and generate interest in the Blue Jays.
A.A.'s & Gibby's jobs are to win games.
They made the decision to spot-start Scott Copeland (seemed to turn out okay),
and save Aaron Sanchez's bullets for another day.

If you look back at this season, the turning point may be identified as another spot-start.
Todd Redmond on May 18th. Reason for him slipping into the rotation?
To bump every starter back a day, give all 5 guys an extra day of recovery.
Not only did Toronto win that game, since then the starters have performed much better,
which has allowed the bullpen to right the ship as well.

Toronto has gone 14-8 since (including that game). That is a 103 win pace.
In 22 games, they've given up more than 4 runs exactly 3 times, 6, 9, 6.
They won 2 of those 3 games.

remember washington shut down Steven Strasburg and they were in first place. Sadly, Strasburg has not yet become the superstar. I was away today so I don't know who was sent down to make room....but maybe spot starting Copeland would be a good idea........Could they actually send Sanchez down (on paper) when they want to skip him?

Glad it worked out today. Also I see Matt harvey pitched today. Could it be Sanchez versus Harvey on Tuesday next week?

Nothing to do with the Jays but an Atlanta minor leaguer was suspended 80 games today for PED use. The article stated there has been 54 minor leaguers suspended this season for PED use. Obviously the message isn't getting thru to these guys, like what are these guys thinking? like there not going to get caught.
