At least Sanchez has settled down after the HR. I have high hopes for him, but it'll take a few years before he's an ace.

Joey Bats gets a cortisone shot this morning, he'll probably only get to pinch hit next week while they're in Washington. I'm still pissed about that hot dog move of his against Baltimore where he injured his shoulder on a stupid throw to first base. He hurt the team as well as himself, with the poor pitching we need all the offence we can get and with him not being able to throw we've had to put infielders in the outfield and that's cost us the last few games as these guys have let balls drop in that an outfielder should catch.

So who was it that called Alex Sanchez a twink, step forward.

He doesn't pitch like a twink. In fact I haven't seen such filthy stuff since Juan Guzman was a rookie. Unlike Guzman, his delivery is fluid like Jim Palmer. Is Steib still the only Jays to pitch a no-hitter? Alex will be the second.

I agree 100% with you - when it's on Sanchez's curveball is disgusting. The kid is still only 22 - not too many pitchers are MLB ready by that age. To put that into perspective last yr's AL Cy Young winner Corey Kluber is 29.
Once Sanchez harnesses his control of his fastball he will be an ace in waiting.
