So let me get this straight.your kidding right?
You take shots at Price after game 2, but apparently questioning Rask's performance in game 1 is not warranted.
Seems like you as big a homer as Jack Edwards and Tommy Heinsohn.
So let me get this straight.your kidding right?
You thought Rask was solid in Game 1? None of the goals were deflections, and a goalie with his head fully in the game will find a way to see more shots. Not sure which games you have been watching but Rask has been solid. Several of the goals on him were screens and deflections. But I do agree it should be 2-0 at this point based on the team's play.
Boston is that kind of team...they need to be "awoken" before things start to click. Remember, they lost the 1st game to Detroit last round as well, then won 4 straight. They almost lost to the Leafs last year and then went on a rampage after that all the way to the final.
The Bruins need some improvement on their powerplay (same as lat year). Considering the depth, they should dominate on the PP.
I have faith in the Bruins. They wear their opponents down as the series progress. Montreal is speedy, but small. They will be ground to a pulp over the next few games.
I am sure Lucic will attempt to spear him in the nads at some point.montreal's luck has got to run out - which bruin will step up and teach that punk subban a lesson ?
you said 'rask was totally useless'. really 'totally useless'. and I said price stood on his head, stole the game for them. hey man you, you have your team I have mine. we,ll see.So let me get this straight.

lol!Bruins look ... lost. To me they look like it is just another opponent to them, it is hated Montreal for fuck sake.
Series so far is a bit of a disappointment ... there is no passion.
Price is out classing Rask by ... it is not even close ... there is no word or phrase to describe it.
You know what the Bruins are missing ? ... a sniper, a killer finisher ....
they are missing a ....
.
.
Tyler Seguin !
I wouldn't call it luck, and be careful what you wish for. See what happened after that bad penalty call against Subban last night? lolmontreal's luck has got to run out - which bruin will step up and teach that punk subban a lesson ?
Tyler Seguin !
lol!
I hear the ACC may have a few open dates (for some reason).New York is done unless they play the rest of the series at a neutral site.
The Aurora Community Centre is kind of small but I guess if it helped the NYRs win the series they likely would not mind ... the Pens on the other hand. :thumb:I hear the ACC may have a few open dates (for some reason).
Boston has depth. They don't rely on a single #1 sniper for success. Couple 30 goal scorers, 10 with more than 35 points this past season. 8 with near or greater than 20 goals. Not a single line team. Regardless of player stats, team stats are more important in the long run as is obvious by their record.Either or ... they traded Kessel, then Seguin ... now they do not have a #1 sniper.
I don't think they can play any dirtier than Montreal. Both teams have been chippy. The Bruins did not grind the small Habs to the pulp tonight. Perhaps they can play dirtier in game 4 and take a whole bunch of silly penalties again like they did in Game 2. The Canadiens can capitalize on the stupidity while Julien whines to the media.
And they certainly have not started to significantly wear the Canadiens down in this series. If any team has awoken so far its the Habs who have continuously played better since game 1.
You also said Boston depth should make for a great PP. How exactly does third and fourth line depth help the power-play? The power play is all about top six forwards, and really 60% of the ice time is the top line. If anything Boston lacks the top line sniping to be great on the PP. Boston top forwards are great two way players but two way play is not a factor on the power play.
I view this series as a toss-up right now. Before tonight I expected Boston to take this in 5 or 6 , but this was the first game where Boston really did not have the edge on the ice.
After 4 games the goals are even. Rask was dodgy in game 3, Price struggled in the third in game 2.Bruins look ... lost. To me they look like it is just another opponent to them, it is hated Montreal for fuck sake.

Phil Kessel !
I do not recall hearing Erikksson's name at all during this series to date. I kind of forgot about him.I don't think they can play any dirtier than Montreal. Both teams have been chippy.
Price has. The rest, not really. It's been pretty even really.
If you were watching you would know Loui Erikksson and Carl Soderberg play on the second PP unit, and the third line.
Game 3 was all goaltending. The fact the refs put the whistles away clearly favoured the team protecting the lead.
Oh well shit happens. After 4 games the goals are even. Rask was dodgy in game 3, Price struggled in the third in game 2.
The B's may not have a Phil Kessel
They don't have a Tyler Seguin
Tonight they had a Matt Fraser
And just as easily 3 - 0 Boston.I do not recall hearing Erikksson's name at all during this series to date. I kind of forgot about him.
Oh well shit happens.
I was thinking if Montreal will come to regret the game two collapse, then I heard it mentioned on the FAN yesterday.
Series could have been 3-0 Montreal going into last night's game.
as big and intimidating as the bruins are kath, the game in this day and age is much changed. have to play a little smarter, which I think they , since first game. they will still hammer you when given the chance[ ask paciorety] . Campbell, lucic, iginla, Hamilton, thorton, etc, they will all take a piece of you if given the chance. and I totally agree with bigdik, bruins could just as easily been up in this series.Could easily be 3-1 Montreal, glad its only 2-2. Still waiting for Boston to show up physically in this series and impose their will. If ever that happens, it stops being a series. As long as Chara isn't parking in the crease, or Marchand and others start crowding the net, Price will keep it close.
Kreskin?Tonight ...
Pens end the Rangers season.
Hawks push Wild to the edge.
