Be proud Raptors! They did well. Raptors would not have beat the Heat anyway, it would have been a horrible embarrassment.

I don't think NBA wanted the Nets more then the Raps and if they did .. The Raps had last shot and they held destiny in their hands ..

The best thing about this Raptor situation is that everyone important components to this team is young .
Very true. But MLSE never lets their young talent get old before they let them go. More so with the Leafs...so many young talented players dealt away long before they reached their prime here...only to have great success elsewhere.

Hopefully, MLSE will build on what they have rather than just taking advantage of loyal fans to benefit the bottom line.

A disappointing end to a great Raptor season.
I hope they can keep, or replace with equal or greater talent, all their players.

Thank you Raptors for an exciting season and playoff !

I just heard that the Raps and Nets met 11 times this year and after 11 matches the points scored and points given up were even 1070 to 1070 ....

Hell of a season, but man that last play haunts me in my sleep, you can see Patterson reaching for the ball, which was pure instinct, but it got in Lowry's way and freed Pierce for the block.

How many times has Lowry nailed that little floater in the lane this year? So many times.

Having said that, I want Patterson and Vasquez back, great role players, although Vazquez has a lot of confidence, so I'm not sure he'd like to be backup all the time as the years would go on. It's fine for a half season and the team is winning, but I think he sees himself as a starter.

Hayes and Salmons, adios muchachos. Thanks for the effort and all, but there's no place for them moving forward. I honestly would have loved to see more Fields and Hansbrough than them, but Casey loves playing old, washed-up vets for some reason.

... but man that last play haunts me in my sleep...
It was a broken play from the start... because of Casey.

Casey drew up a play to in-bound from the BENCH side...
But Ross made that *** brilliant steal *** at the Raptor end on the OPPOSITE side...
So when Vasquez started in-bounding on the BENCH side...
The ref moved a surprised Vasquez to the OPPOSITE side.

This was a CARDINAL error by Casey...
One a high school coach wouldn't make...
So every player that was TOLD to cut right, now cuts left, etc...
And you get that clusterfuck where Lowry is 1 on 5 with no outs.

Casey has been making basic errors and bizarre substitutions all year...
When you get out-coached by a rookie Jason Kidd... there is no future with this guy.

And all you Vasquez nut riders are going to get what you want...
Vinnie's Hairdo will be the starting PG next year.

You look at the Pacers and it makes you realize how important bringing the right new players is important ... Who ever they bring in has to accept their role ... Patterson was drafted in the same class as Ed Davis and so he is young and so lets hope he even has a greater upside ...

The Raps have 3 draft pics this summer ...

“I want to give a shout-out to Toronto the city,” Garnett said in his media scrum, without prompting. “This has got to be one of the best places and best atmospheres I’ve played in in a long time. Paul and I were talking ... about different places we’ve played and the passion, but this place was rocking, man. D-Will (Deron Williams) was shooting free throws (in the final minute) and our ears were ringing. Big shout to the Toronto Raptors, their fans and their city.”

Casey was outcoached by JK since Q4 of G5. Its that simple. Here's hoping everyone will come back and a year wiser with this heartbreak defeat.

Toronto teams need a bit of humility. Not the players & coaches, but pretty much everyone one else above them. Toronto is so desperate for a championship (aside from CFL) that even the smallest of accomplishments garners tremendous attention.

Even when Toronto teams make it to the playoffs, people are satisfied with only that achievement. In the Raptors case, let's face it, how far could they go with Miami? Maybe steal a game? Maybe 2 tops?

I think Toronto teams curse themselves by:
- Raptors...telling the first team you are facing after a 6 year drought to "Fuck Brooklyn".....before the 1st game was played. "We The North"...catchy...but I guess Brooklyn is probably the northern-most team still playing now...so "They The North".
- Blue Jays last year after the big player acquisitions were claiming to have the World Series won before the season even started.
- Leafs...well don't even get me started here.

How about getting some regular playoff runs and progressing each year closer & closer to the big championship before boasting about something?
A bit of humility will go a long way with these teams.

dude you need to relax and chill on Toronto.. you obviously are a hater..and no matter what toronto does in the sports scene, you will hate it...

Everyone knew it was going to be a tough series and it was. I agree the Raps lost momentum in the final Q of game 5. I think the $ 25000. that Kidd got fined was money well spent. It may have been the difference cause the calls sure seemed to go one way in the last 2 games!

I am also born and bred in T.O. ... Although it was a nice season and run ... Is it too much to ask for a T.O team to make it too at least the second round ? Come on why can't we have one of these type of moments

it was our first run in the playoffs with this team... they faced a very tough , veteran Brooklyn team (4 HOF players ) with a roster that was put together about 4 months ago , by a playoff virgin coach.. we took them to 7 games with a reffing crew that was heavily biased after game 5 ... i think we did very well, and this is just the beginning of something special..

Me too! It was one hell of a run. Best basketball season Raptor fans have seen in years, maybe ever. The pieces are in place need to add a little and hope we don't lose anyone important. Bring a couple of pieces in to tweak this team and next year should be exciting too. These guys with a years experience together should be fun watch and tough to beat. As Carling says "this is just the beginning of something special".

Again I say ... All it would have taken was a Damian Lillard moment ( and it has been awhile for Blazers also and this was also his first playoff ) ... Why can't T.O have a moment like that .... Instead T.O fans get moments like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3emK-oy0LyQ

It is like this city is jinxed ... I respect who the Nets are but the stage was set ( with Ross's steal ) and all that was needed was one of those moments ..
