Those Nets are weird .. Beat Heat and then go on lose to Magic and Hawks ..
The latest BS Report explains why the Nets SIZE and offensive schemes nullify the Heat's defensive advantage...
The Net veterans fucking despise the Heat... and fully expect to beat them.

As for the Raps, Simmons and Bob felt they could knock off everyone EXCEPT the Heat and the Bulls...
So they could sneak into the Eastern Finals with the right draw...
But it's hopeless beyond that because the Raps have ZERO playoff experience.

Knicks over the Bulls and Raps are back third overall in the East. Need to defeat the Bucks tonight and the Knicks in NY Wed.
No matter what it has been an enjoyable season for Raptor fans!

Your right .. They hold the tie breaker and so it's all in their hands ... Bulls have Magic at home and then hit the road against the Bobcats ...

Question to all .... Is the fact this season wasn't planned ( ie the trading of Gay was supposed to be the begining of tanking ) and happened by accident mean anything ? Heck if the Knicks owner didn't stop the Lowry trade then this magic season wouldn't have happened .. Don't get me wrong cause looking forward to playoffs .. I just wished that this season had a blue print and what happened was result of the blue print ... The blue print was to fail and they are now on their way to their best season ever ..

Just goes to show, big money spent on management is wasted....better to be lucky than good.

I have absolutely no problem with the way it went down.
Maybe Ujiri knew what he was doing ... I assume he did not imagine how well it would go after the trade, but maybe he could see that Bargnani and Gay just were not working out here.
I give him the benefit of doubt that he thought there may be some improvement, just not a division championship.

My question is why did Vince's teams only get 47 wins ? Casey with a roster not as good as those teams has managed a 48 win team ..
The East wasn't as bad back then. You couldn't thump Orlando, Milwaukee, Philadephia & Detroit the way you do these days.

Hey, Bargnani, the Raptors are in a new era now. I think it's time for you to change your username. Just choose Kyle_Lowry and let everyone know you used to be Bargnani on your signature or something. LOL

Raptors would be wise to not offer more than $9 million per year to Lowry. Anything more & I'd do a sign & trade or let him walk. There is no way he will play at this level for the next 5 years. He's reportedly looking for a longterm contract. I prefer if the Raps focus on re-signing Patterson and maintain the flexibility to ensure that they have enough money to retain Ross & Jonas V when their contracts expire.

Lowry will probably get 10 from us. While I am still a little apprehensive of signing him to a long-term deal I think his past is behind him. Lowry likes playing here, the chemistry is bang on and he plays our system really well. Apparently it was the birth of his son that changed his attitude. He now recognizes that in order to get paid he has to keep playing well. Nobody will dump bags full of money on a barely 6 ft PG if he doesn't play hard. It's the 7 footers that keep getting the contracts even though they mail it in every night, unless your name is Greg Oden, then you don't even have to play to get paid.

On a side note...can't wait for the playoffs. Got tix for game 5 in round 1. The Hanger will be rocking!

Do you think someone had a heart to heart with him? He sure has picked it up since the incident!
Love the way he is playing and I hope he gets the DUI behind him and continues to perform consistently at a high level.

Well it comes down to 1 game ... Win and you got the Wizards ... Lose and you play the Nets ... Although if Bulls lose it doesn't matter what Raps do they will play the Wizards ... Is Carmelo going to risk injury and play last game of the schedule ?

I love the swagger Jonus has now. You can see it when he goes to the line and going back to the bench for timeouts. He has matured immensely as an NBA center this year and is really developing into a stud. For sure someone had a chat with him...probably Masai. He would have been told to forget about it, it wasn't too serious, focus on the game, kick some as on the court and all will be forgotten. Don't do it again. He's only 21 and made a poor decision. He probably didn't even feel drunk given his size and if not for the 'rat' that saw him with the booze in the car nobody would have known. My question though is this...had this civilian seen another nobody in a vehicle with open booze would they have called the cops and further, would the cops have gone on the hunt for an unknown when there was no accident or injury to anyone else?
