Obviously you can't, or you wouldn't have typed out a hundred words instead of just copying a link.
Don't worry, you're not gryfin, I am happy to provide you with material so long as you don't adopt his idiotic troll tactic of insisting his made up laws exist unless treaties explicitly say they don't.

Let's start with the attacks on Israel from Lebanon leading up to the Israeli invasion. Here's a good starting point for you to read up on PLO attacks on Israeli from Lebanon.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_insurgency_in_South_Lebanon

One of the links that leads to says this

"As a consequence of an increasingly militant and empowered Palestinian community in Lebanon, the 1969 Cairo Accords, an agreement between the Lebanese authorities and the PLO, redefined the regulations that once governed refugee life in Lebanon. The Cairo Accords guaranteed to the refugees the right to work, residency, to form local committees in the camps, and to engage in armed struggle. During the 1968-1982 period, the Palestinians were, in effect, in control of the refugee camps and engaged in armed struggle against Israel from Lebanese territory."

Satisfied? Not only did they attack Israel, they wrote their "right" to do so into law, attacking Israel from Lebanese territory with the explicit consent of the Lebanese state.

I can give you detailed book references if you are willing to make the required kindle purchases as well.

I get around.
All this discusson led me to

Greatest Tank Battles: 1973 Yom Kippur War in the Golan Heights, with Syria driving hundreds of tanks into Israel to try to take back the Golan Heights that Israel had captured in 1967. Exciting stuff.

And a much different point of view than the contemporary movie Lebanon about a single Israeli tank crew. Good movie, sort of "Das Boot in a tank"

Thanks for posting that the reason there was strife was because Israel refused to honour what you agree is their lawful right of return.

I have agreed that the original residents should return (not their descendants) IF they are willing to live in peace. However, through their recognized political representation, the PLO, they have insisted that they would never, ever accept peace with Israel, so, no return.

I understand that there are now negotiations to enter into a peace deal, and if one is signed, certainly those born in Israel should have the right to go there, if they pledge peace with the state.

That said, the actual topic was who started the 1982 war. The state sanctioned cross border attacks on Israel make it clear that the Lebanese government did.

Rob, give your head a shake. You are the one who moved outside of 1982 and now that you are called on it, you want to go back. You just can't stand by what you say, can you?

All of which is in response to Lebanese attacks on Israel.

It is a fact that Lebanon declared war on Israel on 15 May 48, and invaded Israel. It is a fact that after that war Lebanon allowed the PLO to use its territory for attacks on Israel, precipitating the war in 82. It is a fact that Lebanon allowed Hezbollah to attack Israel from Lebanese territories resulting in the 2006 war.

Lebanon has always either been the aggressor directly, or permitted its territory to be used by an aggressor like the PLO or Hezbollah.

Israel has never started any war, but Israel does finish the ones others start.

I showed the continuum of aggression against Israel from 48 through to 82, and highlighted the 69 Cairo Accord where the Lebanese state formally authorized armed attack on Israel from Lebanese territory. That is called the smoking gun.

Lebanon started the war with Israel, Israel simply finished it.

No, you didn't. You've been caught again. You are just a windbag. No sources.

You mean other than the article that I linked which detailed the Cairo Accord, in which the Lebanese state endorsed PLO attacks on Israel. Other than that source.

From 48 all the way through to 82 Palestinians commit acts of war against Israel, and from 69, they do so from Lebanon with the consent of the Lebanese State.

Your artificial replies don't save you from losing the debate. Lebanon committed acts of war against Israel by permitting its territory to be used for armed cross border attack.

As I said and you have now confirmed, it was you and not anyone else who moved outside of 1982.

The trouble is, Rob, the Cairo Agreement was never published, so I'm not sure why you used that as a source.

And you refuse to move to 1976 when Syrian invaded. Their 30 year occupation still takes a major toll on the Lebanese political system and the main reason why Lebanon has been drawn into Syrian (un)civil war.

Okay, Hezbollah following the orders of their Iranian masters and sending troops there plays a big role too.

Unfortunately you don't know your history. Syria was part of the Arab Deterrent Force in 1976 until 1982.
