But what I said (and I will stand by what I said) is that if I had a close friend that I knew him and his family well like the OP stated and I found out his girl was in the sex industry and she was lying to him etc then YES I would tell him. I would want the same for me if someone found out my gf was in the industry. There are a lot of people on TERB that are not in relationships and are not lying to anyone and enjoy the hobby as it is without the lies etc.

It's likely your friend knows, but if he doesn't she still hasn't done anything that deserves being outed. Chances are this is a short term career choice for her and she doesn't need a lifetime of stigma attached to being an escort.
She should wise up and not show her face in her ad, but that's a separate issue.

Absolutely. There has been no issues raised by the fact she is an SP. It as about (assuming of course) that his friend is oblivious to this. I have dated SP's and MPs that were open and honest about their jobs and some people judged and didnt like it and others respected the fact that they were open. I for one believe that there is nothing wrong at all with being an SP but I also believe that there is a serious issue with a guy (especially someone I care about) being lied to and taken for a ride.

Sign up an anonymous fb acct or email acct or fongo acct.
Then send her a message that reads something like:
"Hi, I see you are X's gf now, congrats, he is a great guy and a good friend. I also know you are XYZ from backpage. Please don't worry, I am not going to out you. I am a friend, and positive towards women doing your job and the discretion that requires.
But I am also concerned for my friend. I expect that you will share your working status with him, so that he can make an informed decision about what he is getting into. If you do, you have all my support and best wishes. If you don't want to, and you break off with him, your secret is safe with me.
At this time I prefer to remain anonymous for my own reasons of discretion."

I get that it is very personal to you and get that from what you wrote regarding your own personal experience it was hell. I get that . But everyone is different and everyone has the right to their own opinions and I can honestly say that if it was me being lied to etc I would want to know. I am not looking at this as the entire industry, every relationship blah blah. I am looking at this one specific case and putting my feet in the shoes of the guy that is dating the girl that is the SP and doesn't know this (this is all still assumed because we actually dont know for sure) but again if the assumptions are all correct , in this case I would want to know for sure. That's just me and that's what works for me. What is right and wrong is all perception and perception is reality to each individual. I am not saying that your stance is wrong or that it doesnt work for you, I am just speaking for myself.
