The Washington game was indeed the turnaround game as they've won five in a row since. I especially liked how they started the game and you could sense they were going to have a good game. Bernier was both good and lucky (3 ding-and-outs behind him). I guess when you're playing well you're entitled to some luck too.I'd like to believe they can bounce back, but they have to raise their intensity level like they did in the Washington game. They didn't win but I thought it was their best game in a long while. Hopefully that's a sign of good things to come.
Five in a row and they are still in the middle of the pack. The four game lod=sing streak sure hurt.Leafs win. Five in a row!
Out shot again, but I do not think the Leafs got out chanced. If they did, they already had a 2 or 3 goal lead at the time. Not many rebounds or wild scrambles in front of the Leafs net.
I kind of like watching Gardiner and Reilly play as a pair. It is fun to watch when both jump up to lead the rush. You do not see that happen much. Almost never.
Seems to me lately, even during that four game losing streak, the Leafs defense was never shy about jumping into the rush. Guess they have the confidence that the forwards will be backing them up.
Objectively speaking, the Leafs are not giving up too many odd man rushes as it is.
Carlyle finally has his stay at home defense man in Gleason. Gleason does not seem to be able to cover a lot of ice like the other Leafs defenders, but he reads the play well and is always in position in his own zone while taking the body at the same time.
Veteran D and a couple of youngsters. This is not a bad defense.

If I were a betting man I'd be very tempted to put money against the Leafs tonight in Colorado. 2nd on a back-to-back on a long road trip to high latitude country, and the laws of average tip towards a bad loss after a 5 game win streak. Reimer will probably start and he hasn't played much lately.Lately they have cost me. I bet them every game during their recent 4 game losing streak. But earlier in the year when they were winning I won some. I actually do a lot better with college football and soccer.
better get the parade route mapped out!Leafs win. Five in a row!

Maybe one day. Hell, anything is possible. I think this team is pretty. Is it good enough?better get the parade route mapped out!
Against all odds, Leafs won another one and its now 6 in a row. I'm happy to admit that I suck in predictions. If I were a betting man I'd be very tempted to put money against the Leafs tonight in Colorado. 2nd on a back-to-back on a long road trip to high latitude country, and the laws of average tip towards a bad loss after a 5 game win streak. The Leafs seem to reflect their team's star ... Streaky ... Kessel is friggin hot right now and so are the Leafs ... I think Kessel missed his buddy Bozak more then we thought .. Go Leafs GoAgainst all odds, Leafs won another one and its now 6 in a row. I'm happy to admit that I suck in predictions.
All you need is stellar goaltending and a dominating first line and you can string a few together. A bit of luck also helps. BTW, has there been a more exciting and entertaining player to watch than Kessel in this streak ? His blazing speed and scoring touches are just so wonderful to watch when he's on his game.
Streaks seem to be a common theme in this NHL season ... Teams seem to take turns being Hot ...Kessel is hot right now as others have said. When he is going he is something to see.
Nice pass from Phaneuf on the first goal.
Looking at Leaf road games for ticket prices, damn I got to make my way to NY or Fla.
That Columbus team is quietly creeping up on everybody, and they've been doing it without Gaborik. Not good at all. Sort of glad I have to work in the morning, gives me an excuse to call it a night after two periods. Only luck for Toronto is NYR, Isles, and Flyers all lost tonight. Sens are currently losing.
Unsure why RC pulled Bernier on only 3 goals. Guess it was to spark the club, but it was a double fail. Reimer cold was really bad, while starting the forth line after the goalie pull led to Orr in the box. I like Orr a lot, but he is playing a meatball game tonight, and hardly providing any energy. All he has done is made two trips to the penalty box. Gardiner is coughing up pucks terrible and Phaneuf is looking really tired.
Dallas is very fast, I guess the big hope was matching speed and speed to just have a wide open game.
