In several Muslim countries stoning to death still happens.
Big deal, in some Christian and Atheist countries they still have the death sentence and have been known to put innocent people to death. I'd be more up set about that. The good news is we're not a muslim country.

The family has announced they will sue the people involved. So much for saving money by using a new technique.

Nobody is willing to sell Thiopental to the executioners. Should tell them something.

I echo James Kirk's comment and Danmand's sarcasm.

Life imprisonment without luxury but with hard labour is more humane.

Death penalty bad, torture good. Got it.

He was sentenced to die, not to 25 minutes of torture. And that may have been what it was if he was conscious enough to feel it.
Correct. The penalty is the cessation of life, not torture.

Only in 'Merica can you murder someone and then your attorney can sue the state for making your death 25 minutes too long.

The drugs in questions were never used before, so they likely did not know it's true effects even if there was testing done on rats, etc. The only way they could have known the effects would be to test it on a human and he was the unlucky first guinea pig.

The problem though is how we define "luxuries" and "hard labour." I have no idea about the conditions of our prisons, but the inmates basically have free housing, all their meals taken care of, heat and air conditioning, and a relatively comfortable bed.

After a few minutes they should have known it wasn't effective, then injected him with something proven to work.
Anyone here who gets off knowing he was tortured is pretty sick.

There are more bloodthirsty members here than at a vampire party in Transylvania.

I'm not sure that would have been a good idea either because they wouldn't know how the untested formula would react to the proven formula.

I would like to think we are better than he is, you seem to be trying to sink to his level.
