I don't know about you Jenn. I still think if we had a better manager, and coaches, this team would be in a much better position. Look how good Bonafacio is with Kansas City. The Jays just doesn't utilize him to its full potential.
I know there's been so much support for Gibby. I want to know what good he has done despite the win/loss record?
Looks like Bonafacio is doing very well in KC. Batting .300 and all offensive percentages are higher. I'd say coaching has something to do with that.

He was much improved towards the end of his tenure in Toronto. Could be just more playing time, or a fluke hot streak as well.

Here
You must be joking about Bautista. He's the heart and soul of their line-up.
Bats must be pissed off and disappointed. He was very optimistic about a very competitive team and must be somewhat demoralized by this catastrophe; I know I would be if I were in his shoes! That is why is is beginning to show attitude... but he will come around; it seems to me he is one of those ultimate team men.

I don't blame him. If he were really free to speak, I suspect he would give you a pretty good analysis of why the wheels went off the wagon.

He has had 40 at bats too soon to tell but it is an improvement over what he did here.

I have developed a very deep respect for Jennifer and her insight into the sad Blue Jays.
As a devoted Jays fan I have shed many tears this year, but it is time to forget about it and map out next season IMO
PITCHERS
KEEPERS
Buehrle, a horse and is getting better
Cecil,Dickey : cant ignore the pedigree and class,Happ,Janssen, Jenkins,Loup,Sanos....needs to show his former self,Wagner,Delabar, Ortiz,Perez Juan& Luis

KEEPERS
Caberra (as a DH),Izturis utiliy, timely hits,Thole no hit but catches Dickey,Gose,Pillar,Sierra,Reyes....see the play he made last night? a natural lead off hitter,Lawrie(attitude is improving and only $ 500K a year!)Goins,Encarnacion, DeRosa cant replace his experience and attitude (see comments in STAFF area)
That's a roster of 14 pitchers and 11 position players. Is that a normal balance?

Anthopoulos: Gibbons will return in 2014
There, you have it. No more discussion about the future of the Jay's manager until the manager and the GM both get fired at the same time!

While they're at it, fire that clown Beeston. Gillick was the brains of the great teams of the past, not Beeston. They've done buggar all ever since.

Happ had another bad start tonight. Wouldn't be in my team going forward if I could get a good enough trade.

"The Worst Blue Jay Season Ever"

http://www.sportsnet.ca/fanfuel/toronto-blue-jays-jose-bautista-marcus-stroman/

Oh wait... that was from exactly one year ago 2012.

Luckily, The Kid AA rolled the dice all winter...
And turned that Lost Season into an exciting playoff run in 2013... oh wait.

Seriously, mega-corporations like Rogers should be forbidden to own MLB teams...
The Blue Jays are a fraud designed to sell Rogers services and nothing more.

Happ has been inconsistent, but has often pitched very well.
I was more refering to the fact that he was on the DL (not that it's obviously his fault). I just meant between injuries and and guys having career worst years, it wasn't dicky and buehrle that hurt us. Buehrle has done what's expected, and ya knew Dicky probably asn't going to win a cy-young but at 7 million a year still a good bargin.

I remember Josh Johnson was pushing for a contract extension before the start of the season. Thank goodness that did not happen!

so now if an experienced manager like Mike Scioscia (sp) who has won world series becomes available, were stuck with Gibbons. Really fired up the team tonight to know Gibbons will be back.

If there was any fire a 4-0 opposition lead in the first will sure take it out of you. Starting pitching sucked again.

New Pitching coach and a catcher who knows how to guide a pitching staff is a must if your not going to fire the coach .... As fans, if Gibbie had a track record that we can point at in the past we might reflect on the situation more different .. We have a first time GM and a coach who nobody hired before or after the Jays .

The most significant improvement the Jays could make is to get an experienced and competent catcher. How many more wins they would have had if say Yadier Molina was the regular catcher? I think they made a big mistake trading John Buck to the Mets. They likely did it to secure the RA Dickey deal because they wanted Thole along with him. AA can take credit for that blunder.
