Jays up 2-0 after 1/2 inning at Fenway. Should be no trouble locking down the win from here.
At least I got one prediction correct this year.

Did anybody notice that all 3 Jays outfielders and the pitcher in last night's game are lefthanded (as is Adam Lind)?

I just have to believe that Lady Fate has her own plans for the BJ's...

Just when pitching help seems on its way and revives our hopes, Frasor, who has been the best middle reliever, goes down.

The Lady seems to love pissing on our parade... I guess that could be called a golden shower of some kind?

She should go down to the U.S. Mid-West and piss there, where they need the water!!!

Waste of time putting Gose in at leadoff. The guy can't hit and is nowhere near ready for the bigs. Put Lawrie back in there and lets hope Bautista is back soon.

Wish I could disagree with you, but you are right. He is not ready for major league pitching. On the upside he can play defense and the speed is amazing.
Thought the Jays were smart when they pinch hit for him tonight.

IMO, he has not had enough time or at bats to make such an assessment.

Coming up to the bigs can be quite intimidating, especially for a young batter. You have to give him a chance to adjust... at least 30 or 40 at bats.

Let's see where he is at when Bats is ready to return... not that Gose will take his place, but to decide who goes back down. And that will depend, too, on how Snider makes out.

In the meantime, it is valuable experience and will identify his weaknesses and what he has to work on.

It's not like the team brought him because they thought he was ready. He was projected to come up next year but the injuries forced their hand. He was the best option available and this is a chance to see, not necessarily if he's ready, but if he's close to being ready. With his speed he's a classic leadoff hitter with a better OBP. He could wreak havoc on the basepaths.

The argument is not should they have brought Gose up or not, the argument is, "is he ready for the bigs"? No question he has a lot of skill and speed but he is not ready to hit at the major league level. If he is the outfielder of the future he will be sent down when Bautista returns as he needs to play not sit on the bench. Snider needs to stay up so a they can decide as to trade or keep him.
I agree that the Gose call up made sense, but it is showing that at the moment he needs to work on his hitting to be a permanent fixture in the majors.
The outfield with Snider, Rasmus and Gose is awesome defensively. Incredible speed and skill.

Not all that long ago was a lot of trade Rasmus and bring up Gose. Guess those folks have to rethink that move.

As some have remarked, I wasn't suggesting that Gose should not have been called up or be playing, merely that he has shown that he doesn't belong at leadoff and that Lawrie should be put back there. And guess what...Lawrie leads off today's game with a homer. Farrell obviously reads Terb and took my advice. Always knew I had managerial talent. lol.

Jays win. Lester sucked and Alvarez wasn't a much better, however, a win is a win and they sweep Boston in Fenway.

Series against Oakland has a lot of meaning as Oakland is ahead of the Jays in the wildcard. Need to at least win the series.

Team amazes me, they get swept by the Yanks, Lawrie gets hurt (just a contusion), Bautista out, Fraser goes on the DL, and just when you
start to say, bring on the fat lady, they sweep Boston and are right back in the wild card chase.

Apologies for not keeping everyone up to date but here it is:

Blue Jays magic number for the second Wild Card is 71.

A's just took a series from the Yanks and apparently have kick ass pitching this year. Should be interesting.
