I agree that this guy is an idiot and he's a menace to others. I've done my share of going fast on two wheels, but it was always on open roads and certainly not weaving between cars. I can't comment on the actual speed, other than he was going very fast. Sure it's fun, I went up to about 200 km/h and it felt very fast. This guy seems to be going much faster. It is not dying that he should be afraid of, it is living. He might end up living the Steven Hawking fantasy, except without the 24 hr. care, the money and the tools and electronic gizmos.
That's not the reason I wouldn't do it. I'd be afraid of being responsible for other people living the Stephen Hawking lifestyle.

And yes, I was hoping someone would make a lane change...just enough to clip this guy and send him and his bike flying off the road at 299 km/h. One less moron on the road could mean four more innocent people who don't lost their heads when this guy's bike comes through the rear window of the family car.

lol lots of cowards and scared punks on this thread flaming the guy in the video. shame that our society has become a bunch of pussies and pansies.

grow some balls. you could kill someone even if your going 40km/hr.. you could get killed while walking your poodle.
You know, the whole not being afraid to die thing is fine. But not being afraid to kill someone else and so not limiting the potential for that outcome is just disgusting. Grow a conscience.

There is a time and place for adrenaline rush like this. Actual race tracks.

If one wants to experience their Need for Speed fantasies, it should never and I mean NEVER be on normal traffic roads. EVER.

One split second of bad judgement on his part or other drivers reacting to his speeding in a way he didn't anticipate, things could end up very, very tragic.

When I was young and foolish, I had a 500HP Mercury Cougar and out on the flat Prairie roads I got it up to 110mph tops. 299 kmph on a motorcycle is just unbelievable. Imagine blowing a tire at that speed?

I think on an expressway your chances of killing some else while on a bike is pretty remote.....

it has nothing to do with "not being afraid to die", different people have different reasons for doing this type of activity. maybe it's how he releases his stress?
and it wouldn't be the same going this fast on race tracks with no cars to weave through..

200km tops. I can't believe 300km.
Believe it. Sport Rider August 2002, listed the R1 at 10.10 secs. at 228.12 kph in the 1/4 mile. That was 10 years ago! 300 kph is no problem these days.

Actually not. That bike going 300 kph plowing into to back of a small car (think Toyota Echo) travelling at 100 kph with a child in the back seat wouldn't stand a chance. This is obviously a t-bone crash but it does demonstrate the force of motorcycle vs. car.

You're right, it has nothing to do with "not being afraid to die". It has everything to do with a complete disregard for the safety and lives of other motorists.

Maybe it's how he releases his stress? Are you serious?

Well they got the twit. I guess he left a digital trail wider than his tire treads; the suspect is known to the police(quelle surpise), no license (naturally) and is uncooperative, duh

So they have id'd the guy, he has a record (25 infractions), he doesn't have a proper license and is hiding. I didn't say they arrested him or that it was his bike. What part of the report did I get wrong. Nice try a-hole.

When Chief Wiggums posts, feel free to question him.

As I'd heard it on CBC news, not from anyone on the force, and I didn't have a web reference. Next time slow the fuck down before you engage your pie hole keyboard-style. If somebody is concerned about my information they will not hesitate to ask me.

Do they have buses and SUVs pulling boat trailers going around a racetrack to dodge at 250 km/h? I don't think a racetrack would give this guy the same rush as his zip and dart job on a busy highway.

Despite his clear skill set at the dodge and dart (he survived), at the end of the day though he is forcing other drivers to participate in his risky antics with him, for as mentioned if another driver had changed lanes or swerved there could have been multiple injuries, not just the one guy's instant death.
