Reimer is shit!!
He looks like he can`t even see the puck.
He doesn`t even try to move to make the save.
He just stands there and hopes the puck hits him.
This time last year he was about to go on a 16-5 streak and many were hailing him as a hero and the Leaf goalie of the future.
Oh how fickle fans can be.

What a great game!!.. the better team won.

It would have been nice if it were a closer game.

Hopefully the Canucks can bring the Cup home this year!!
Yes, it was almost as good as a previously played game in Vancouver.

June 15, 2011.
Boston 4 Vancouver 0.

The better team sure won that day.
Why did the Canucks even bother to show up ? Did the Sisters want to see the Cup ?

Well somehow the Leafs still have a hold of the eighth spot in the East.
Big game tonight against the Devils.

Some other games which are of interest to the Leafs.

NYI at Buffalo
NYR at Pittsburgh
Dallas at Montreal
Anaheim at Tampa
Philadelphia at Winnipeg

That was soft ! Ga-damn what was Gustavsson thinking ?
Well Kessel got the Leafs a point which helps somewhat.

Kind of have to agree with Feschuk(Star reporter). Today in an article he says the Leafs need a veteran leader who has been there. If Ryan Smith did not have such a huge cap hit he might be a good fit, he may anyway. If Burke cannot land a game changer, it may be worth it to bring in Smith for the playoff run.

Who is Ryan Smith?

Now, if you're considering Ryan Smyth as a possible option, stop.

Furthermore, the Maple Leafs could fit Smyth under the cap as of February 23rd, without moving a contract.

He has already stated that he will not waive his NMC in his contract to move to an actual contender, why would he to move to a bubble team like Toronto?

I'd try to use big assets to land someone like Miller or Backstrom, but at the very least, bring Rask back to Toronto. He is not happy as a backup and Tim Thomas isn't stepping down for awhile.
The thing is Kat that Thomas is talking his way out of Boston with his political views and it is quite possible that The Bruins will trade him at the end of the season.

Now if you were Burke would you make a deal for him next year if he is available?

On a side note you are looking fantastic these days if I don't say.

That is total horseshit, Thomas will be in Boston until he decides to retire. But they won't be trading Rask back to Toronto that's for sure.

I've been crying for months that we need to get an NHL caliber goaltender. Guys I would be targeting - Nabokov in Long Island, Bernier in L.A., Harding in Minnesota. Anyone but these two clowns we got.

The Sharks are not that much better then the Leafs(65), points wise(69), this season. They are the Florida of the West, in third with less points because they are a division leader. San Jose does have two games in hand though.
The Sharks are also rumored to be in on the Nash talks.

I think Reimer starts tonight, but the way they are playing it does not really matter.
Sharks have lost three in a row and are 3-6-1 in their last 10.

Just what we need, another goalie rotation. Wilson needs to go. Give a goalie a shot at playing more than 3 games in a row and the results are apparent. Look at how we did in January. Look at how we did last year when they let Reimer take over. Wilson is killing this team. The talent is there, it's just not handled well.

A change in coach sure made for a 180 in Anaheim. The same couldn't be said for the Caps, but I think that team has more 'internal' issues within the team itself.

I'd like to see RW gone too. What especially drives me mad, is not seeing #20 out with less then a minute left, goalie out, and face off in their end. Though Bozak is good, David is excellent. I know BB is loyal to a friend, but the best interest of the team is what matters.
Hard to fire a guy you just gave an extension to though, no?

I know standing posting is done by Ironhead but I was curious to see how my fellow tenants at the ACC are doing ...

Last year on March 3rd the Leafs were 29-27-9 for 67 pts & so this years version of the Leafs seems to be on the same pace but they better get hot cause we all remember what happened last year in the last quarter of the season .
