So you are saying that I should not voice a harmless complaint or express any dissatisfaction about problems I see or experience in the city, and instead just "get over it?". Or did I fall in your "sarchasm?"i live in the city, right downtown too. Does that give me an interest or relevant opinion?
'cause here it is.
City life is more than being able to drive your car in and out of the city to Costco on weekends. A great aspect of city life are these events. Closing down St Clair for the italian food thing, the Danforth for the various festivals, yes even closing down a section of Lakeshore Blvd for a major car race or the DVP for a bicycle or running event. Such events are part of city life that *I * like. Not all can be held in parks or parking lots. Even then, you're going to have whiners complain that "their" park or "their" parking lot is being "taken over" and things are noisy or there are too many people.
Wha wha wha
Get over it, its the city you are living in!
I don't understand why people think they can explain to me why I shouldn't have a complaint. All the reasons above are valid, but it doesn't make it any better for me, now does it?
Anyway, that's it for me. Terb is just a bunch of contrarian nannies these days, so I'll go back to lurking. Clearly my thoughts and attitudes aren't in line with the Terb cool kids.
