Hey George !!! Yankees lose !!! there goes all my money !!!! Next time George, stick with the OPPOSITE !!!!!Remember, all investments carry some degree of risk.
Tigers lead the Yankees 2-0 in the 7th.
Thank god I didn't listen to you..lolIf you want a quick return, of about ~55%, you could wager on the New York Yankees tonight to defeat the Detroit Tigers, or, if you think the Yankees will win by 2 or more, your return would be 110% .

Depending on your risk appetite, DRV or FAZ.
One can certainly do something serious with as little as $5000.add another 0 or two before you invest in anything, not enough funds to do anything serious, you know the saying "the rich get richer", and the poor usually gets poorer"
How about the lottery, only a small investment and you could get rich. I stress could. LOLOne can certainly do something serious with as little as $5000.
For me 5k is enough for trading of 2--3 penny stocks in the price
range of $0.1--$0.5. Appreciation by one order of magnitude in a
short time frame isn't unheard of. Had I put $5000 into the stocks
of Rare Element Resources at its IPO a few years ago I would have
been richer by half a million when its stock price nearly hit $10 a
couple of days ago.
I am not suggesting penny stocks trading as a way to get richer.
In most cases investors actually get poorer. Trade penny stocks if
you want to kiss your hard-earned $5000 good bye. But if you
happen to have come up with an idea about how people might
get rich in a certain venture in the near future a litte of your
spare money could be a risk worth taking.
Hey lighten up, just want to warn any newbies that with only 5000.00 they shouldn't take any unnecessary risks unless they can afford to lose the 5000.00; but if you only have 5000 to invest in the first place, I don't think he can afford to lose it. IMHO.Anyone who has such wisdom as to liken the search for a
winner among the stocks of emerging business to winning
the lottery may as well stick to gambling as the only means
to get rich. To make money in the stock market a minimal level
of intelligence is required.
On second thought anyone who thinks the probability of
picking on a get-rich stock among the stocks comprising
the TSX-Venture index is comparable to hitting the winning
lottery number won't likely do well in the casino either.
