Agree

Thousands of great actors looking for a break but the established names sell. THEY ARE DENIED WORK IN THEIR CRAFT AND WE ARE DENIED THE PLEASURE OF WATCHING. Sad
Decisions are not always made with artistic integrity being the only parameter to consider. "He who pays the piper calls the tune".

Most of the time it is about director and script but there are occasions where the actor prevails. Venom would have bombed with a giant thud without Tom Hardy.

A great actor can lend legitimacy to a risk. Alita: Battle Angel was seen as a bad risk until they started using Mahershala Ali to sell the film. He's on a hot streak.

In actuality, now that I think of it, the movie I have definitely seen the most, is the one where the girl dumps me. Has anybody else seen that one?

nah, it's all about the pussy. Doing the bird dance in the closet with Rosa would have been a sold out script
Malata never stop being a malatesta divertente, it works for you. Rosa Salazar was in Jay Baruchel's quirky series Man Seeking Woman, she's 30 but looks younger.

I’d have to go with The Godfather. First time I saw it was over 2 nights on CTV back in the late ‘70’s. Then they ran The Godfather Saga, I and II re-edited chronologically. Re-released in theatres to coincide with the release of III. Bought it on VHS, DVD and BluRay. So all tolled maybe 10 times. Casablanca, Apocalypse Now! and Kelly’s Heroes all up there as well.

Rocky Horror Picture Show = 127

In terms of "normal" though, probably Star Wars IV based on availability alone.

Dang! Why didn't I include that John Carpenter classic in my list? Must have seen it at least 10 times.

Quality suspense/slightly gross horror/early special effects, with a great cast including Kurt Russell and A. Wilford Brimley!

Excellent left-field call, Parker!
I can always watch The Thing!!!! The cast is excellent and the dialogue and characters are very real/realistic. To me, there is not part in the movie that gets off the rails/ridiculous/silly/out of place. It is so smoothly executed. The soundtrack by Ennio Morricone is perfect(deep, reverberating, atmospheric) and blends so well into the film. It's so complimentary, doesn't take over the scenes, really enhances everything. And the end....oh how I love an end that isn't tied up or a positive ending. I like when things don't get all wrapped up with a pretty bow.

Romeo + Juliet (1996)

My daughter loved The Sound of Music, probably seen it a dozen times.....doe a deer a female......get a grip Richard! :)
And Scrooge in its various forms every Christmas Eve.
Many fond memories watching Sound of Music as a kid.

When Captain von Trapp sings Edelweiss the 1st time its such a great moment as his love of family and music floods back into his life.

I love thus movie, so simple and cute. Funny way to point out how boys see the world and how girls see it.

Ok I'll watch it but it's not James Franco I'll be focusing on.
