if he lawyers up , im sure his next potential employer would likely look at that as a reason not to hire himthe guy was out of line but I don't think this is something that is worthy of being fired. The whole lot are class A douchers but so what. its his time not hydros. people make mistakes all the time in thier personal lives and if there is not spillover into the workplace then the incident should stay out of the workplace. has the guy been charged with a criminal offense? I think the guy should get a good lawyer and push back.
