Oh I give them plenty of credit. The advancements and achievements of women in the past two decades has been extraordinary. But I don’t think it is as a result of young men not trying, and to an extent the achievements of young women have come at the expense of young men, given the limited resources of society. A few decades ago, who did college women converse with? Men of a similar age at that college. They had no internet and might not have even had a car. Now they can choose from a very large dating and interaction pool via technology. She might choose someone older and/or of the same sex to have intelligent conversations with. And some of those older dates might indeed provide her with greater financial rewards as well as intellectual stimulation. Those older guys were not more intelligent than her college peers when they were that age.
Hmm, interesting. As an older gent I often find in today's younger demographic there is a major discourse in what I would typically consider intellectual stimulation. The subject matter that fills that niche ( for me ) has changed.

Men over 45 that get dates with women in their 20's are obviously financially secure which is a huge deal in real life. Also, they are better conversationists due to more life experiences and know how to lead a conversation and ask questions to
keep it flowing. They have no problem picking up the tab and opening car doors (having an acceptable vehicle is huge for young women, it indicates masculinity).

I suppose. However, I kind of have a fondness for beaters. I remember a hot young thing giving me the eye in a grocery store. There was definitely a serious interest being shown on her part. She followed me out to the parking lot and got in her BMW SUV. I opened the door of my K car. Her smile turned to a smirk and then faded altogether.

she probably never heard the Barenaked Ladies, "If I had a Million Dollars" as he would buy a K car.

It's not restricted to West though, it's global now if not for decades
Here is an extreme example in the west. They have young girls throwing logs in Iceland. Look at 0:41.
