Physical youth will surely pass, but spiritual youth is whole other dimension.

I still have some $1 bills and a $2 bill. When do they became collector's items?

I don't know but I still have two $2 bills in perfect condition pressed in my dictionary. LOL I figure they'll be worth something one day but probably not much now.

I remember when gas cracked the dollar a gallon marker and the pumps couldn't register the price.

This makes you a youngster, my friend. I remember when gas spiked overnight to 49 cent per gallon. That really stung...

I went to an estate sale some years back. I bought a box of office supplies. Stapler, paper weights, markers, resume paper... Additionally there was a thick dictionary.
Whoever put this box together obviously didn't much care and never checked what could be in there.
The dictionary had $80 of new singles and over $200 of twos.
Mint.
Today they are worth $280.
So many people saved them I'm sure the Mint is still laughing.
Good deal for me, I paid $5 for the entire box and am still using the stapler and paper weight.
The bills will probably disappear when all my stuff is sold off at my estate sale.

As a kid I remember going to the local store and hanging around outside with my friends.
For 0.25$ you could get a Coke and a chocolate bar. When you finished and got your refund back on the bottle you could get 2 freezies or an ice cream sandwich. Or 10 icy square chocolates. Or 5 icy squares and a snow ball. I used to know all the possible combos. Anything to maximize the sugar and chocolate hit.
If you got together with a friend, this took .35$ when they were on sale, you could split a Pepridge Farms chocolate frozen layer cake. They were good back then.
The big hit on the economy in the day was chocolate bars going from .05$ to .07$ and then to .10$.
Shit, your .25$ was hardly worth anything.

My first new car was a Smokey and the Bandit TA.
Everyone wanted one and after seeing the movie, so did I.
400, 4 barrel, 4 speed, T bars, snow flake wheels, screaming chicken and all the good stuff, $7964.93 all in.:thumb:

I started smoking at age 14 (quit at 23), and cigarettes were $.25/ pack.

You are also old if you had a Princeton haircut, and wore bleeding madras shirts.

You know you're old when you can recall:

Dancers doing sets,in see-through tops & pasties,on a 55 gallon drum(Broom & Stone,Danforth House,etc.)
The Warwick & The Westover
Men's room & Ladies room
Draft Beer OR Draft Ale
One quart bottles of beer/ale
Miniskirts & Hot Pants,so Knee highs & Pantyhose arrived on the scene

So much more, but it takes too long to remember everything these day!
