Buying my grandfather a bottle of Navy Rum when I turned 18.You had to present your order to a guy ,who took it to the back and came back with the bottle wrapped(brown bag) ,no booze was on display!
I remember going to an LCBO with my father, he let me help fill out the order form that you had to take to the counter. I was probably 12 or 13 at the time.

or....asking the LCBO clerk for one of those plastic stars from the Seagrams's Five Star whisky bottle , they made great ninja stars that you could hurl at your friends, lol

When you can remember reading the TAB "newspaper"in the seventies. For you youngsters it was a sex tabloid printed in To with ads for MPs escorts "advice columns." etc. Oh the seventies. Things were so different then. Toronto was a horny guys heaven!

My fav MP was King Henrys on Yonge.

On the road with Willy
My first house cost just under $48000. Three bedroom, 1800 square feet, brick bungalow, large 2 car garage, 220' deep yard.
I just paid almost $70k for a new pickup. It is very well optioned but not top of the line.
When I bought the house a pickup went for about $3500-4000.
