What troubles me is the insane number of BP ads for ages around 20. I am generally only interested in age 35 and up, 45 is perfect, but it is increasingly difficult to go through BP because it is flooded with early 20's ads,

Didn't Duttslist used to be able to filter for age? Would be nice if CL had that option.

Okay, but I don't have an untraceable phone but I suppose I can make the call private, or can they see through that?
No such thing as a private call
All carriers are doing is sending a signal to your call display

Eg on Bell Mobility (and sub brands, Virgin/Solo etc) simply load CQS and voila
Incoming "blocked" calls are now displayed

If your going to BP yes this could be a problem. One of My best regulars has advertised there for three years, all of sudden she just stopped !
I don't blame her, she is protecting her good clients. I not sure if she has retired but I'm betting she does not want this for her good clients.

Correct.

Wasn't one of the criticisms of C-36 was that it was institutionalized entrapment?

It would appear that it does allow police to use certain methods that they didn't have at their disposal before.

Really? Use your untraceable hobby phone. Or a pay phone. Not difficult really.

Anyone using their regular phone these days is nuts for this.
You can use your so called untraceable phone, but in a one party consent, ie; the police, any text or call is recorded and can be used as evidence. If they build a case around you or a number of individuals, they will seek a warrant for your phone records in order to have corroborating evidence of that conversation, but it is not required as evidence in a one party consent, they just have to show that you had the phone associated with that number in your possession.

No such thing as an untraceable hobby phone.

The 7-11 phone may not be in your name, but if the cops want to find out who has the phone, they can. Phone doesn't even have to be on and they can locate it. I'm told it doesn't even need a battery in it. Easy as a ping from a cell tower, triangulate, and boom, they find your phone and they find you.

Pay phone would be more difficult, but there's always the eye in the sky.

Exactly!

Even pay phones can be traced though and if there are security cameras in the area, they will check that footage and link times to when the call was made.

You think they'd spend all that time and resources on trying to track down a guy who calls 222-TIPS anonymously from a payphone to report being offered sex from a 16 year old on a backpages ad? To what, ask him if he's the guy who made the call? If they have some evidence that you're on Canada's most wanted list, then maybe.

But this is insane. You guys can't honestly be so paranoid as to thinks LE would have time for that. Please tell me you're all joking.

Well, the LE staffers in the sex crimes unit and those assigned to 222 tips have to show that they are indeed doing their jobs.

Inside the sex crimes unit, they have a mandate and they allocate resources where needed and if they want their slice of the pie to get bigger, then they have to show that they are doing their jobs. They just don't sit around waiting for someone to complain and assign officer Smith to a case from a radio car. The people assigned are trained in what they do and if they don't do what it is they are trained for then management would question the commander of such a unit, asking what they've been doing. They have a mandate within the unit, one that is not known until they've sprung their trap and in this case it is the sick fucks going after the underage girls. Their next caper? As yet to be determined.
