So I got an email promotion offer from BetMGM in late September offering me a 50% bonus, up to $50, if I would deposit money into my BetMGM account, for online casino gambling only.
So I deposited $100, and sure enough Bet MGM credited my account with my deposit plus the bonus $50.
I played Blackjack off and on for about 10 days, and today looked at my account balance. It showed the amount I had before the promotion deposit, and my current balance after the promotion. It also stated that I could only withdraw the amount that was in my account before the promotion.
So I looked again at the promotion offer and saw in the fine print that I had to bet 25 times my $50 bonus within 7 days of receiving it, or they would claw back the $50 bonus plus I would not be able to withdraw any subsequent winnings.
I called them to clarify the issue, and they confirmed that, as I hadn't wagered 25 times $50 = $1,250 within the 7 days, I was in default of the promotion, and therefore could not withdraw any winnings from the time I had received the bonus, into perpetuity...
They said they could cancel the bonus for me, and as I was up in my account at the time, they could restore my account to the amount that was in it on the date I exercised the promotion, plus leave in the additional $100 I had deposited.
So the end result was I couldn't keep my winnings above and beyond the original amount in my account plus the extra $100 deposit, not that the extra winnings was any huge amount. A lesson well learned, my friends!
